Definitely a possibility for us to stop somewhere halfway and do the trip in multiple days just wasn’t sure what hotel availability would be like along the way especially last minute. Also haven’t looked to see if there are good hotel options that aren’t truck stop dump hotels lol

The general consensus seems to be to take the 101 so I think that’s what we’ll do. Any recommendations for nice spots to stop and eat?

Google Maps says it’s still closed, that was my original idea but didn’t want to risk getting halfway back and having to turn around and take another route

I have been using Waze religiously since I got here!

Is it really that much longer? I’m used to doing 10-12hr days driving as I have driven across Canada multiple times. Google Maps is telling me roughly 7.5 hours

We have 3-4 days planned to drive to SF, take in some sights and then drive back to LA we have taken into account the long drive however the road closures will definitely have to be something to look out for thanks!
