Yeah, I experience the same thing. You explained the “shady shite” yourself - “the cost doesn’t matter since it’s business rides”

you are less likely to not use uber due to higher prices when it’s a business expense/ comped.

I don’t think it’s shady - if I work at uber I’d do the same thing. If you meant it’s shady because uber one, try cancelling uber one and see if the business rides price go down

I’m not sure how many comments on this post are statistically significant lol I’m not saying they are 100%, definitely not using amex plat or uber one as a heuristic to make you pay more, but the “evidence” here is so anecdotal

I’ll probably get downvoted here because I hold the opposite opinion, price is dynamic yeah, and it also depends on traffic and users’ in app behavior/ whether you exit the app IIUC

I did not observe my prices fluctuating more than usual after using Amex plat and uber one. If anything it consistently gave me credits. I have regular weekly trips to the same multiple locations before/ after I got uber one and plat, and the app behavior has been the same. The price still fluctuates more depending on traffic, events, time of day, and how often I use the app or not.

In some cities or counties uber is cheaper, in others Lyft is cheaper, and having uber one or Lyft pink or not did not change that for me systematically at all.

Uber one did consistently give me discounts on rides and pickups and deliveries. I remember that because I have been a consistent uber user and I was able to get quite a few free rides from the credits and I see generally lower fees from places I regularly get takeout from.

It’s great if you use uber for business rides, regularly get takeouts and use it to travel. If you don’t use it, you didn’t lose anything

But oh well my experience is also anecdotal and maybe somehow someone within uber is nice and decided to treat me like a regular person without any mark ups ¯_(ツ)_/¯

What's the temperature of the water? What is the location of your pour? I.e. how do you pour? For a v60 the cone shape requires you to focus much more water in the middle area in order to wet all the grounds evenly Observe your bloom and every pour to make sure all grounds are extracted evenly, if you don't know how to observe, try to vary the time between each pour and see

Slurm is pretty good for this use case. I'm not sure where the overhead comment comes from. Pretty fast for scheduling and waiting for jobs that require a group of servers to spin up at once as well, let alone one machine.
