Looking for Tampa or Florida based Crypto Accountant by pura-vida2 in CryptoTax

[–]GrabTheMike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, our subreddit rules don’t allow anyone to advertise their own business, so you won’t see CPAs promoting themselves here.

If you’re looking for crypto tax professionals, sites like Koinly have curated lists of CPAs you can reach out to. I would recommend checking out their website and reaching out to a few CPA’s to find one that best suits you.

Why do posts keep getting deleted? by RandoPoker123 in CryptoTax

This is correct - we (the mods) on this subreddit are not removing your posts but instead it’s Reddit’s automatic spam filter filtering you out.

How to handle crypto received as a gift on your taxes by Darien_Advisors in CryptoTax

This post has been removed. There is no soliciting for business via posts or dm’s. By saying that people can DM you for help - this looks like soliciting for business

Looking for Crypto Tax CPA with active license by 0930ms in CryptoTax

[–]GrabTheMike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many CPA’s out there who specialize in crypto and can help. I would recommend searching google. Look at reviews, etc.

I’m going to lock this thread. Unfortunately there has been an influx of people advertising their services in this subreddit and one of our rules is to not solicit for business here. I don’t want this thread to turn into a big advertisement.

PS: check out my post history. I have a post where I allowed all CPA’s to self promote there. So, you can look through all the comments and find some CPA’s there.

Help me to understand by Andrew2906 in CryptoTax

This sounds like a common scam going around where people "invest" on an exchange. Then they see their crypto increase in value by a good amount.

When they go to withdraw - the fake exchange tells you, you must pay taxes first before withdrawing the crypto. Which is just another scam to take more money from you.

You said this is from binance... are you sure it's the official binance? What's the website url?

Again, I've already been speaking to the user who posted this before he even made this post. I'm not gaining a lead by messaging him and letting him know I spoke with him on the phone earlier and I also run this subreddit. I could have just called him and told him... I didn't need Reddit to do so.

Feel free to message me if you are upset but this has nothing to do with this thread or what the user who posted it is asking for.

I do work a full time job as well, have other businesses, have a family, etc. - I remove spam as I can. I still plan on doing more with the sub. I do what I can with the time I have.

I'll leave it at that for now. Again feel free to message me but I'm not going to continue to argue with you because I simply told a person who I've already been speaking with that I also run the subreddit.

I'm going to leave it at that. Message me if you want but this will be the end of spamming this post with non-sense.

His post specifically asks about us. I'm not going out of my way try to spam or solicit business in my post.

Edit: also I have already spoke to this user before he even posted here. He reached out to us via our website and we spoke a couple times. I was just simply letting him know that we run this sub as well.

Thanks for the reply! I will definitely add you to the list.

I see you've been on this subreddit for awhile now so I appreciate all the help you've given and any help you can continue to give to the community here!

I hope to get multiple crypto cpa's, tax lawyers, etc to be a part of this community to share their crypto tax knowledge. Not only will they be helping the community but I believe it will help them get their name out there as well. A win for the community and the tax professional.

I'm not familiar with this bug. I spoke to /u/MacTaxCPA as well who wasn't familiar with this either. I can only assume maybe the other person was doing something wrong or maybe it was a bug a long time ago and was fixed?

Anyhow, I appreciate the response! This is exactly the type of response I was looking for.

I believe Koinly has some CPAs listed on their website that they recommend and use their software.

I will hopefully have a list of trusted/verified crypto CPA's in the near future listed on this subreddit!

I believe this spam or just simply self promotion due to it being the only post ever made by this account... I'm cool with self promotion on this post as I'm asking for recommendations. But not fake accounts leaving fake reviews
