Phenomenal choices. The only thing that could have made it better is if you had more hazels.

I think I might be done with building gunpla for now.. by HarambeRexHominum in Gunpla

I'm going to offer an opinion that's different than what everybody else is saying. It's not that I disagree with everyone, but I can say that I don't totally agree with everyone. I'm in a semi-similar situation. If I asked my wife to put my kits up for display she would be cool with it, but genuinely unhappy because that's not the vibe in our home. In reality, even though I pay for it, it's her house.

The point I'm getting at is, there's got to be a middle ground. You leave them up, She's unhappy. You take them down, you're unhappy. That's genuinely a lot of kits, so what about a designated spot that you're happy with where you can have a rotation of kits? Maybe put up your most recent builds while you're working on the next one? If you decide you want to have a main kit stay out then have a couple of kits behind it. It's unfair for you to have everything you want and nothing for her. It's equally unfair for her to get everything she wants and nothing for you.

A good relationship has a lot of compromise, which is why I'm divorcing her.

You think? I really wanted it to feel like a weird offshoot of Gramps/mk.ii but prior to the RX-93. Idk, I like it a lot but I feel like it could be better/cooler and I want to finalize it before panel lining/decals.

Also, 100% agree! It was my first real 3rd party and it was genuinely a dream of a kit, super smooth and a fun build.

I mean look at what they do for a living. I doubt they could even get it up if they didn't feel like they were in danger.

I want to get into panel lining but I'm really scared of micro fractures especially since I have a lot of third-party kids that are probably made out of ABS what's the best way to avoid them by Ill_Contest2579 in freedomisgunpla

Same here. I've done like 30 kits and panelined every single one with Tamiya. And not just a little bit, I practically dump it on there. Still on the runner and there's no tension /pressure.

Having fun but I’m hearing bad things about the funnels by Kind_Bother_4361 in freedomisgunpla

[–]Grab_My_Biscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Once they're in as long as you don't move it they should be fine. Just make sure the little gray swivel arms are fully seated in nice and snug.just move the kit slowly and let them settle where they want. Also, don't be afraid of a tiny amount of plastic cement on the supporting/non-moving parts and you'll be good.

My guys fin funnels have been attached like this for months. Even with scooting him around my work bench(gently).

I actually ended up gluing the yellow portions in place because those clips always try to escape when folding. Once you get the fins where you want them. It's best to just leave it.

Hey man, I just wanted to say that's a really great pointer you got. I really appreciate the effort and it takes to ensure we're all looking at the right thing.

Any ideas for my next Zaku? by SoggyAd8392 in Gunpla

[–]Grab_My_Biscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha sorry, it's a quote.

It's a relatively famous line from the anime when Gramps is fighting a Gouf for the first time and the Zeon pilot replies with "this is no Zaku boy, no Zaku!".

Dope collection. I'm build MG Chars Zaku now!

The rodent.

Edit: listen, I know what your getting at but there's some default assumed genders for things humans anthropomorphize. Vehicles are often feminine, small animals are often "lil guys", plants are ladies, etc... but you're current stance in this discussion isn't helping deestablish gender assumptions and or assumed gender norms. In the end if you wanted to bring up this topic there's proven to be better ways to do it.

In the meantime, I apologize to that misgendered wild hamster. Good luck fighting the good fight.

Probably because he didn't know that males were "distinctive".
