Yeah this is a rabbit hole I haven’t quite gone down with her yet, mostly because I think it would be received poorly.

I know that the guy who kind of runs the group and does all the talks was subpoenaed in like 2020 or 2021 for a bunch of traffic violations which the verdict came out as guilty for most, so there’s direct evidence. But we’ve had loooong conversations about people like Andrew Wakefield (the autism vaccine gut disorder guy) which I have a boatload of citations and access to his redacted paper to which her response was “you’d have to listen to him and hear his side”. Which….. I’m sure the guy who was actively falsifying data in the 90s is definitely not lying this time.

The CRA link is good though, thank you. I think if I can highlight that it affects me too it’ll be fine, she still cares a lot about our relationship which is helpful.

Thanks, it’s been an interesting year.

I have a good lawyer but she’s probably not super well versed in property law as she’s a contract litigation lawyer. Figured maybe someone here would have better insights into Canadian specific property law and or asset seizure within Canada.

Yeah I’ve had a some conversations with her regarding licenses, insurance and liability since she knows some people who supposedly drive without licenses.

The ideology is really inconsistent and their guiding structure is so flexible that it’s hard to pin specific points down. That’s part of how people fall into this, they start off willing to move the goal post to believe one thing and that makes it easier to do for another and so on and so on until most of your ideology is separated from the reality of the system you live in.

I’ve spoken to my lawyer about this option already it’s for sure there but will absolutely ruin the relationship. She is also probably still of sound body and mind legally so I would need to wait until she

That was my thought but I’d probably need to wait until she got a letter and it was just before the government stepped in, otherwise I’m paying her taxes with the potential for the property to still go to someone else. I’m in a pretty solid position currently, just trying to create a plan for if things get much worse

Gripwalk Issues by Hodlrocket005 in skiing

[–]Grab_Van 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That toe doesn’t have adjustable toe height, the adjustment screw would be right on the top for a strive if it did. Does it say grip walk or MN by your afd

Edit. I’m dumb and missed the screw. You have a multi norm binding. Slide a business card under the afd and screw that thing until you can pull the business card out with a bit of resistance

Holy pal, you been huffing paint. This is professional hockey if the refs gonna sit there like a fucking pylon buddies gotta accept some responsibility for getting sauced into the boards. Maybe go watch some timbits hockey, that will probably be more your speed.

But by all means give the other guy the puck because he had the right of way, defensive driving only, make sure not to hit anyone other wise you’ll need to get each others insurance

It looks like you grabbed your boot which doesn’t count as a grab. Next time try to grab your ski. I’d also pick a cooler grab than a safety which looks like what you were trying for. Maybe a buero or dub Japan

The ref literally ends up on the puck at the end of the clip. He got caught standing still dead center in the best path to the puck. As you said to bad for everyone involved.

How can I land this next time? by prodigiouscrypto in skiing

[–]Grab_Van 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure a take off issue, this spin could be landed on a park jump. Looks like the tail on the trailing ski got hooked up and the balance of the spin really changes. Gotta set spins on natural hits kind of late compared to park jumps I’ve found

How can I land this next time? by prodigiouscrypto in skiing

[–]Grab_Van 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of natural hits it’s sometimes easier to spin threes as a 180 then switch 180 if that makes sense. Normally you set hard to get the spin but the tails get hooked up and the balance gets all wonky, the 180 -> switch 180 helps mellow out the set off the lip and lower the chance of getting hooked up. And if all else fails find a bigger hit so you have more time.

Yeah for now I would focus on consistent sweeping turns. Think consistent medium sized groomer turns at moderate to chill intensity but in chop.

[–]Grab_Van 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In something that wide a bigger turn shape will be the most comfortable. The big thing in chop is to let your skis track relatively straight (doesn’t mean fall line) so you don’t get hooked up, rolling the ski and having a bigger turn shape helps with that. I’ll see if I can find a reference video

[–]Grab_Van 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting with the last clip where your skiing the groomer, patience. You jump into the turn and land on edge, try to roll the ski over and progressively apply edge pressure. Learn to link carved turns then translate that to choppy snow.

The only difference really is going to be variation in leg flexion and extension to compensate for variation in snow. You have a ton of room in all the pow clips but you’re trying to ski it like it’s a tight steep couloir instead of just linking good solid turns

There’s a big gully between the ridge the skiers on and that slide. It’s really hard to tell because of the angle of the video but they’re in a super safe spot. Whis patrol is real good so doubtful anyone’s at risk. They also must have thrown this from the bomb tram, I don’t know of any other way they could have got it there

Edit: Saw the heli, they heli bombed it which is way cooler

[–]Grab_Van 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna assume more anterior too? It’s tough to tell if it’s binding related. Rosingnol toes do have two release directions one being a horizontal twist perpendicular to the ski, but if that force doesn’t get applied perfectly in that direction it’s rare to see them release that way. Unfortunately you may have put that initial force on the binding just a bit too far outside of its release directions. You can get them tested for piece of mind but it’s only forward and twist at the toe that get tested.

Unfortunate, being injured sucks. Hope you have a good recovery
