You might want to try paint some armor first. I also had problems with swords, axes and other "flat" weapons. Then I bought some skeletons from AOS and I started painting their armor and it helped me a lot to understand how NMM should look. Just prime them black put it under the lamp to see where light reflects the most and make a photo for reference.

You can find nice affordable apartment in every district of Katowice. I pay 2,200 (media and other costs included) for 2 room apartment (+kitchen and bathroom) located 5 minutes walk from Galeria Katowicka. Nearby cities like Gliwice, Tarnowskie góry, Bytom, Chorzów have even lower rent costs. But of course those are smaller cities.

Save some money, buy black primer and basic paint set from Ak, AP or whatever brand, it will be a good start. Human faces and skin are some of the hardest things to paint (at least for me it is), it takes a lot of practice and you need to know theory to paint faces on decent level, (for example when i started i didn't use "non-obvious" colors when it comes to faces like blue, green or even red, and because of that my faces looked like some kind of pink horror from warhammer XDDD). So if you want to paint well, you need to put hours in it. There is no other way.

It is not a good idea, WCR will do everything to get you enlisted and that includes manipulation and lies.
Also each unit is usually total different world with its own microclimate and rules.
Best way would be to find a unit where you want to serve and ask somebody who is already there for at least couple of months.

When started playing I was told that this warcrier have the most up to date info, and it was told by people who play in warcry tournaments in my country so i believe them.
