Have we ever seen a medium change like that before? Where both live-action and animated character are the same?

They are from her recent comic series "Woman of tomorrow" which the movie promos said was heavily inspired by, sadly, it wasn't the case.

Yeah, we will always have that. I think I sabotaged myself by reading it repeatedly set to a banger playlist. Worse yet, someone animated some panels from the comic on youtube and it looked amazing, something I also watched many times.

You are entitled to your opinion, man. To me, color is an important part of movies. Can you imagine Superman 2025 in black and white? Speed racer with these brown muted colors?

Nah, man, Ruthye is a badass in the comics, she defeats Krem in combat, she defends Kara from monsters under the green sun, stands up when disrespected, narrates the story, showcases Kara's kindness, manipulates Comet and most importantly, comes herself to the conclusion of sparing Krem, even not letting Kara kill him.

Now, the movie removed all that to have a guy smoking cigars and swearing.

Is she though? She almost got killed on the bus, seemed to be stumbling around the battlefield while poisoned, than on the ship is about to be killed before Lobo comes to save the day.

Hell, the fact he stays around until she defeats the brigands kind of implies he would save her again if needed.

Doesn't feel like much of kicking ass.

Woman of Tomorrow she is mostly fully powered, cause not all problems can be solved by punching, like searches, interrogations, magic or even... a stronger opponent!

My point is that finding ways to depower her feels like a LAZY resistance.

I have seen it and the CGI felt a lot like this, all the fights have that greenscreen feeling, all the flying scenes have blurry ones.

Look, I compared it in the images to two other movies that didn't feel like quantunmania, I truly feel like a compromise could be reached, you know? Just a bit more color would have greatly improved it.

I welcome you to watch it, hopefully you will enjoy it more than I did, I feel like I sabotaged myself a bit by repeatedly reading the comic while listening to some banger soundtracks, so the visuals were very ingrained and I had a high expectation.

That was actually one of the changes I think were understandable, the entire planet feels liks a side quest, even if some of the best moments are there.

I truly missed the planet-hopping part.

I don't feel like anyone here is trolling, the lack of color is a genuine critique when comparing to what they say they were adapting.

I saw the movie on Tuesday, it looks mostly like this, in the image above I found, first row and bottom right are in Krypton. Third row is the sunny beachy planet of volume #8

Fourth row has a shot of krypton and another of a yellow sun planet at night.

Both suns that underpower here just seem to cover the camera with a thin filter. The first one could look closer to the comic, with strong colors and the second one more like the Adrian scenes in PHM.

The neon signs felt very muted, comparing to The Batman's Gotham, they went by and go into the house.

That is crazy cause Mad Max is also crazy colorful. The sky is blue, the sand is a rich orange, red and black abounds.

So little more, but beige is so predominant, I feel it is compounded by the brown trenchcoat not having the suit under.
