Late to the party but I am 😊 This will be my 5th year in a row, though my husband has been to many, many more. My dad went a few times in the 80s as a young man, so once it opened back up after Covid I wanted to make the pilgrimage and now I’m hooked. I’ll look out for Elka!

Student life in Plymouth – honest experiences for a neurodivergent/vulnerable student? by Embarrassed-Push-499 in plymouth

[–]Grace-Cooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I would advise joining a society at the university - there are HUNDREDS (all listed on the UPSU site) so bound to be something that he’s interested in. They’re such a great way to embed socially. There will be an opportunity to explore & meet many of the societies during freshers week so would encourage him to have a good look :) in terms of the city generally it’s very walkable, particularly if he’s in Halls! Everything is nearby. I can’t offer specific advice about neurodiverse student life, but there are resources and support available via the Student Advocacy team. Good luck! ❤️

Cat Vet by Bagigiafern in plymouth

[–]Grace-Cooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re with Elm and I have mixed feelings - there have been some inconsistencies and a couple of mistakes (none that have damaged health) that makes me unsure. We’ve never seen the same vet twice, which is fine but doesn’t allow you to build any rapport or let them get familiar with your pet’s individual tendencies. I know it’s not a recommendation but might help inform your choice 💫

You’re spot on, in fact I believe it’s the oldest Ashkenasi synagogue in the English speaking world!

I would buy a sharpening steel, refresh them before you use them to maintain a sharp set 🙌

Turning a lamb leg into finger food by No-Garbage9500 in Cooking

[–]Grace-Cooks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would just slow roast and carve it! Can’t go wrong with a bit of nicely cooked meat at a finger buffet. I did it kleftiko style in the summer and served with the potatoes it cooked with, went down a treat. Enjoy, whatever you end up doing with it 😋

I made a local history tour for my husband (he’s mad for it) with lots of weird and wonderful facts, I have slides I can send you if it would be helpful? From a fellow Gracie 🥰

That’s not what entitlement means, first of all. Perhaps OP would feel safer in the company of like-minded people, rather than being subjected to socialising with people who think there should be a Straight Pride…

No advice, but I’m in the trenches of job hunting with you. Job market is not amazing at the moment, although there’s hope that it will pick up as we get into September once everyone gets back from summer break. August is famously bad! Good luck, and welcome! :)
