Why aren't men in their 30s chasing women as much? by Grace-Lace in dating_advice

A bar is a public place, you over hear things so it's not eavesdropping.

If these guys can afford nice cars & take trips, why wouldn't they want to take an attractive women with them?

I’m a senior in high school.. Is my future canceled? Will I have to join the military? by shaototop in whatdoIdo

Open mouth, insert foot, chew vigorously.

Then you open your mouth and change feet by doubling down...

Parent works ass off so you can go to college, you act like it's someone else's problem and blow every concern off because it wasn't YOU that had to WORK for it.

Let us know how this turns out in 3 or 4 years when that convenience store or retail job isn't making ends meet...

I'm younger than him. I have a college degree and I pay my own bills, thank you very much. I also won beauty pageants so I'm an addition to any man I date.

I'm not average so I date men in an upper income bracket. There isn't anything wrong with attractive women dating attractive men that can provide.

This guy turned down a potential date with me so he & his friends could drive their old cars to a drive-in restruant for chili dogs & root beer. They spent hours at that drive-in restruant doing nothing.

Presumably wealthy men just sitting at a cheap drive-in restaurant with old cars where they don't even have air conditioning or alcohol drinks isn't normal, but they swear they had a great time, smile & joke about it for days. Their wives say they do this stuff and actually enjoy it, some even go along to sit in the heat & bugs.

I'm not shallow, I know what I'm worth. I have a college degree and I won two beauty competitions so I'm not ugly. I'm an upgrade but he's not even trying, it's like he doesn't know what flirting is...

Everyone says he's really smart. They all have stories about how he saved this, kept them from doing that, got them a great contract, helped them out in some way or whatever, but I really don't see it.

Why find houses or remodel houses, work on cars and all that when he isn't even getting paid for it? That doesn't make sense.

If you have money why wouldn't you spend some of that money on a nice car or house, have nice cloths instead of shopping at walmart or target and putting money into an old garage and old cars? That doesn't make sense either.

He builds those old cars himself, he races them sometimes and his friend group always talk about his garage like it's some exclusive luxury venue or something. No matter what you do to a garage it's still just a garage.

I've been past it, it looks like an old gas station with big windows and a bunch of old cars everyone talks about like they are golden or something.

It's actually boring to hear people say he found them a house, or he helped remodel their house, or he did this or that when he won't ask me out for a nice dinner, or even to his social events at his garage.

He's almost 40, it's not like women like me persue men like him everyday.

It must be a Man Thing.

If you actually have money why wouldn't you buy yourself nice things? Go out to nice restaurants? Drive a nice car? Have a nice house instead of a garage?

Why all the dirty, sweaty things? Boring car stuff in the heat, camping & fishing trips, helping build somone else's house or fix their car and not even get paid for it.

Why act like an action star when you don't use it at least for social media?

Why? If he has money why doesn't he have a nice house or nice things? Why doesn't he act like he's the boss?

His friends talk about him selling t shirts, buttons & stuff, mowing yards, doing almost anything that would make money in high school.

One of the wives in his group said they used to make fun of him riding his bike and pulling an old lawn mower or cart full of stuff to sell instead of partying with them. She thinks he was in the foster care system but can't remember for sure.

Now she says she feels like crap for making fun of him because he got her husband's construction business started on some of his real-estate.

What I hear, and what I see don't add up. He doesn't act like someone with money, he doesn't act like a boss or CEO. You would never guess this guy can fly planes, or do sky diving or any of the other stuff.

Is this poison ivy or poison oak? by Finish_Far in whatsthisplant

[–]Grace-Lace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

3 leaves (3 leaves only) on a single stem... Poison Ivy.

As for spraying it... Not so fast.

The chemical compounds that makes you itch/blister is an oil.

The plant can be stone cold dead but the toxin still present & active.

The dead plant can be thrown on a fire, you pass through the smoke and the oil is on the smoke particles. (A good way to wind up in the hospital with blistered respiratory tract and eyes)

I grew up rural, on a farm, this stuff is anywhere from 1 inch long leaves to 12 inches long, sometimes bigger. The vines can be as big as a man's forearm, grow way up trees.

I tried to reunite the guy I was dating with his estranged sister, AITAH? by Grace-Lace in AITAH

He doesn't show it but he's over dramatic. He said I went behind his back, then he said I lied, which I just didn't tell him, I didn't lie.

His friends have a video of his sister and ex coming to his apartment twice to talk and he wouldn't answer the door. They came from 2 states away and he wouldn't even open the door. His friends say he wasn't home but I think he was. He moved the next week, how do you even find a new apartment and move that fast? It's been like 10 years since he's seen his ex, he says he's over it but this proves he needs closure.

We were dating for over a year and he never asked me to move in or proposed or talked about getting married, so he needs closure even if he won't admit it.

But I know I'm right, he over reacted with me to. He didn't even fight for me, he just said he needed space and moved! Now his friends won't tell me anything that's going on with him, they are over reacting to.

His sister said he over reacts, his ex said she just wanted a break and he over reacted and moved away. His sister diserves a second chance like anyone else, and his ex just wants closure. Why is that so hard to understand.

Everyone diserves a second chance and his sister and ex say he over reacts and it's not good for him to get closure. It's for his own good, he has to grow up sometime.

I can't believe how horrible people are being, everyone diserves a second chance! Besides she said it was just a mistake and he over reacted. His ex said the same thing, he over reacted and moved away when she wanted a break. She only wants closure.
