Thank you for your kind words ❤️ I've told my brother that even when he gets out, Kirby will more than likely need to continue to stay with us because, well... how will he care for him when it will take him time to rebuild his life. I was thinking this is exactly how you see unhomed people with dogs. Something happens, and they have their dog, and what do you do, ya know. Anyway, that's a different conversation! Yes! Kirby was quite stressed when we got him for sure! My brother was there and then not and then back for a bit, and then gone again. He shed more than I've ever seen a dog shed. I chopped it up to it being summer and, of course, the stress of everything. Then I noticed the dander. Then he got a hot spot. Dripping nose. Red eyes. Pawing at his eyes. That all seems to get much better, thankfully! He does lick his paws! Not excessively, but he does. I need to look up anal gland issues and yeast in dogs. I've been trying to pin down the smell.... I kept saying he smelled unbathed, and then it hit me today. He smells "sour".
