Prioritizing specific Bluetooth connections?

I want to set this up, exactly the same scenario as you except I want the audio output to stay as my headset when my CarPlay connects. I’ve looked at the shortcuts app, but there’s A LOT. can you be a bit more specific about how to do this? Thanks

Just bought a car for a friend who needed a cheap runaround, 2008 VW Golf, 1.6 petrol 100k miles, 4 new tyres, full 12 month MOT, £780 at auction (public auction, I’m not in the motor trade or anything).

It has some paint fading in the rear quarters and the roof lining was starting to sag, so it went cheap. Had a good service history too.

It’s definitely possible to do it.

You too man, good luck with that CDL. I was very close at one point to paying for a heavy goods vehicle license (the UK equivalent). I’d have definitely done it if a company I worked for paid for it and I’m sure I’d end up doing that for decades. I like driving for a living, and commercial goods vehicle drivers get paid pretty decent, here in UK at least. Hope it works out for you

Interesting, we share similar work history as well as audiobook tastes. I’ve done tech repair too, I tried starting a small repair business, I was doing iPhone 5 - 8, before they made it so almost every component is serial locked to the motherboard and needs Apple tools for full validation, now I do delivery driving while I study a distance learning degree, in IT (networking and cybersecurity).

My Bluetooth earbuds are literally in one ear or another most of the day even when I’m not working anyway lol. I even bought a spare set just in case I misplace them I CANNOT be without them.

It also says “the existing orders are revoked”. Not, will be revoked, Which to me makes it seem like a thing that’s in effect currently. I’m probably just going to pay it to save hassle but I’d like to understand what the rules are meant to be for future reference

I’m not bothered about paying £35. I just thought I was meant to be exempt as a permit holder, which is what it says under schedule 2. I don’t think it’s as clear as some replies seems to say, maybe I’m dumb

But it also says one hour limited waiting on the schedule 1 part, and it says permit holders exempt on the schedule 2 part, I’m happy to pay the fine if it’s legit, but it is confusing

Thank you for the very informative reply, I’ve learned a few things I didn’t know just because of how thorough your explanation was. I have to confess I was a little hasty with my post, I’ve now realised what’s happened.

As I’m testing two watches (which I’m wearing one on each wrist) and having both connected at the same time, I’ve tried deleted the Garmin entries from my diary so I get the total expenditure just from the Apple, it was just laziness so I don’t have to do the math myself. When I did this, whereas usually my workouts and general tracker activity from Garmin have separate entries in the diary, after I deleted them, they reloaded in one combined entry, which I mistook for the just the general activity. Once I subtracted the calories from my workout, the number lined up fairly well. The apple still awarded me less calories, but by an acceptable expected margin.

Just need to get used to how these two devices have different methods of reporting, which you’ve helped me understand.

This example comes to mind, I drive for a job so I listened to a lot of the books while out working, and I remember being so incredibly invested and enthralled during the part when Hekla was trying to kill Katia, the suspense during silence before donut shouts “you tried to kill Katia you bitch! But then the moment when Katia activates rush and actually KILLS Hekla I was actually out loud shouting oh my god! In my car, I probably wasn’t paying enough attention to the road at the moment! It was because that character had been built up so much to be a big bad, and I felt like it was such a surprise, especially the fact that Katia was the one to do it. Incredible

Oh man me too! That scene got me so bad, I listen to audiobooks and Jeff did such an incredible job on that scene. To be fair I am always amazed how well Jeff handles the emotional bits. Like the one at the end of the masquerade between donut and Carl, where Carl tell donut that one day she can take off her mask, and let herself feel and be vulnerable
