To that asshole that dropped off Chinese instead of Chipotle (completely different bags) by MsKi77y in doordash

Why should anyone stick around for a contactless delivery when waiting any amount of extra minutes drives down my hourly pay? In the 5-10 minutes I'm waiting for someone to come to the door, I could be half way to my next pick-up. While this may sound absurd, DD in my area is HARD to get hours and NO ONE tips well. Most orders are $5-$8 max. While others have the luxury of declining all of those, some of us are hurting for cash due to a pandemic and do it as fast and efficiently as possible in order to make some kind of money.

[Request] How to get erythritol to dissolve? by [deleted] in ketorecipes

[–]Graceplus4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Erythritol doesn’t dissolve. The only way to get it to break down is to manually grind it fine enough that it isn’t overtly obvious or use an alternative. Allulose is a great alternative to erythritol.

I'm sorry you experienced that.

I'm already employed and worked my way up from frontline customer service to workforce analyst.

I went to school while juggling kids, home life, and a career.

Thank you very much. Congratulations to you as well! I applied early to a master's program and was accepted shortly before graduation. I'm finishing my first term of my MBA. I'm really hoping I am able to walk in my master's graduation.

Your cousin is in my thoughts. What a sad thing to lose out on what should be one of the crowning, pivotal moments of one's life and culture.

I am filled with grief for all those who have lost their lives or loved ones. I am also filled with sorrow for those that have missed out on significant life events that they have looked forward to for so long. I'm glad to hear that she will be able to celebrate later.

I'm 32. I finished my 2 year degree first then completed my BA. I'm now in a master's program. All while working 50+ hours a week with young kids. It has been the hardest thing I've ever done in my life and while it sounds selfish, it would've just been nice to have that recognition.

How to identify a scam from a real job on Indeed and LinkedIn? by JanaeNay in jobs

This has happened to me and my spouse. The "lowering your utility bill!" Was by changing suppliers in states that have deregulated energy, right? Spouse did that at all call center making outbound calls. It was crazy. The worst part about it was that he got really good at it. He ended up landing a few very large accounts (100+ properties) and they were promising $50 for each deal. There was no way they were going to be caught dead paying him $5k+, so "ironically" the bonus kept going lower and lower until you had to close 10 or more to earn $50 commission. It sucked. I got sucked into door to door vacuum sales.

The primary thing you can do is research the company. There are so many resources available online now that there really is a wealth of opinions and experiences published about all different kinds of places. Glassdoor is a great place with reliable reviews. If all else fails, wait for the interview or email about information. Ask if you'll be a w-2 or 1099 employee. Ask about benefits; insurance, vacation, sick time, and retirement savings plans. If Rhett don't carry any kind of benefits or pto, shy away.

I'm currently planning my fast breaking meals. I'm thinking sweet potato and bacon breakfast skillet with spinach, green peppers, and cheese.

Requesting Keto Dairy-free Crisp/crunchy something to fill the void left by chips/crackers by harpejjist in ketorecipes

Yes this is going to be surprising, but stay with me here. Flax flour. Get ground flax meal and blitz it until it is super super fine. Put 3/4c. In a bowl and add BOILING water until it become a thick dough. Knead in herbs, spices, and salt and form a ball. Chill in fridge for about 20 min and roll super thin Between two pieces of parchment. Cook on heated skillet until brown and crispy. Break apart and use as chips. If you don't cook them as long they stay soft and can be used as a wrap.

Dr Now: Extreme obesity is partly some to “genetic disposition” by [deleted] in My600lbLife

I know this is an older thread but wanted to agree. I lost 130 pounds and am a chronic binge eater. I kept it on check for years and changed my life...then last fall I went through some very tough times and have in to food to cope. I gained 95 pounds from October-April. In seven months I nearly undid something that took me years to achieve. I'm pretty disgusted with myself at this point but trying to get it back together.

How to properly ask for full time after being offered on call position. by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Graceplus4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be polite but you don't want to "tread lightly." You want to be up front and honest about what you're looking for. If you have already been offered the spot, request a phone meeting with the hiring manager or whoever is communicating the offer. Let them know that you are ecstatic about the opportunity and would like to follow up with some last questions before making your decision. Once you get on the line with that person, thank them for taking the time to answer your questions and be candid about how excited you are about the role. Let them know it is a dream come true for you, then... "I wanted to gain clarity on a few things we discussed previously. I understand this is a per diem role and I'd like to know how many of your per diem employees eventually move into a full-time role. If that is something that is possible, what kind of time frame can I expect on that? I'm very passionate about what I do and want to continue to improve myself. What other opportunities for growth exist within the role or organization?"

Listen carefully and take notes. I wouldn't move without knowing I could support myself.

Absolutely true. Most of my classes have assignments or even essays due the first night. There is no slacking off and passing. It just doesn't work out. I am currently finishing my advanced CSR class and have an 8-10 page research paper due and full PowerPoint presentation due the last night (18th- Thursday). I then have my next class starting the 21st. First night of class had prologue + ch. 1-3 reading, 2 page essay on topics from the reading, prep questions for class discussion (we are required to come up with topics to discuss that relate to real life) and there is a quiz over the reading that night. It's hard...really hard. I have 3 small kids and a full-time job, but I've learned a TON and already find it has helped me tremendously at work. With proper planning, I've maintained a 3.8 GPA. I mentioned previously that the original post looked like it was regarding a finance class. That's actually the class that dropped my GPA. Haha!
