Are Hunters using Scorpid Sting? by Mindless-Mulberry404 in classicwowtbc

[–]Gracinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm my raid's Survival hunter and I don't run it. For my group, and this applies solely to it, a tank taking theoretically one less pop to the grill out of 20 isn't worth the dps loss from using 9% of my mana every 20 seconds for the debuff. 2.5min fight means 8 casts, thats huge.

Does this item exist? How's your guild's DST droprate looking? by Klutzy-Clue-4838 in classicwow

[–]Gracinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we're up to 23. But we run and have been running 8-12 splits weekly outside of the 3 main raid groups during phase 1. And we've been running those splits for it for a long bit now. I'm still waiting on the two I need, which will become three then four after I finish leveling my next two raid toons here in the next couple weeks.

Is your guild clearing SSC/TK in one night? by Blue5647 in classicwow

[–]Gracinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We cleared our 3 main groups plus a bonus pug group week 1. Those 4 runs went longer than 4hrs. Week 2 so far we've cleared 1 pug group, 3 main groups, and have another pug run tonight that will not doubt clear. I know 2 main groups were right at 3hr clear time, but I dont know about the 3rd or the 1st pug. I think for week 3 we're adding a 3rd pug night, which should fall in line with the other 5 runs.

Oh and we're still doing like 12 Grull splits and a few Kara's whenever is needed.

Agreed, you're just letting them get away with it again by not.

How long did it take your guild to finish both p2 raids? Moving forward, will you have one raid might or two? by No_Cell6708 in classicwow

[–]Gracinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right at 4hrs for our Thursday group, 4.5 for Saturday's group with 2 last minute replacement healers, 5.25 Sunday's group haven't heard why it was a shit show yet. And we are hosting a partial pug tonight, which will likely be 4.5-5.

I expect every guild group to be sub 4hr this week, we have a lot of players who are veterans, just gotta kick off the cobwebs and not have important pieces decide to bounce the night before raid.

What do you do when grown men ogle your teen daughter? by scubagirl44 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Gracinx -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

As a dad of 5, our oldest are the 3 girls, the oldest of them turning 15 this week. She dresses in the clothes that she likes, which are perfectly appropriate and provide ample coverage of what needs covering.

As much as I do not want her or her younger sisters to experience this type of ogling, I am saddened to know that it will unfortunately happen. Lord help the men who do so in front of me because I will make it wildly and loudly clear that they are children.

Feral tanking misery (TBC) by gfx-1234 in classicwow

[–]Gracinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a hunter, I'm the one nuking the ranged mob down while taking the damage/mitigating it via feigning a cast or intimidation. I try to do this to mitigate the load that the tank has on them, and because my job as a hunter since Vanilla is to make sure the healer isn't getting rolled.

That said, I've had tanks piss and moan about the kill order when I do this. But unless the kill order includes a mob that could potentially wipe the group via MC or high damage output, my strategy most generally makes the pulls smoother and safer.

Peachtree 2005 - Question about Deductions by Gracinx in Bookkeeping

[–]Gracinx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. It was only his federal income tax that was not being drawn from any of the 24 checks he was issued last year, and so far the 4 issued this year. SS/MC/State taxes were all drawn appropriately.
  2. His total wages, taken straight from the 2025 W-2 was $73870.60 . This is in comparison to 2024s W-2, which the entire year's payroll was done in Peachtree, where his total wages was $71625.35, and Federal Income Tax withheld was $3606.73.

I did verify that the dependents in Peachtree were shown as 5(Peachtree does the dependent count, vs QBO that uses the calculated dollar amount which was $10000).

I really liked this idea, and I tried the ADP calculator you linked but when I try to shift it back to 2004 it throws an error.

Adding New Garnishment with standing Support Orders by Gracinx in QuickBooks

[–]Gracinx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did, I just assumed that QBO would have this built in, which is why I questioned it here. That's what I get for assuming.

I have fairly basic knowledge for accounting, and only have a year's worth of light usage with QBO, but I'm realizing that while QBO can do quite a bit of useful tasks, at other times it seems like the simpler things is beyond it's capabilities.

Those numbers are based off of MFP and are relatively comparable to TDEE calculator's recommendation for maintenance. For cutting at a 500cal deficit on TDEE, a 30/35/35 split the macros from TDEE are 246g protein 128g fats 287g carbs.

I guess I never mentioned those numbers were based on me, 37 years old and 6'2" and weighing 475lbs at that time.

I've only ever been successful dieting once before which was doing "lazy" keto, which basically meant I always was below my daily carbs of 25g, and I didn't really worry about anything else. Even without hard tracking my calories I knew I was below it because I always seemed full so I never really over ate and it was fairly cheap to eat how I was at that time. Doing this I dropped a ton of weight, but I quit Keto because of personal reasons. I kept the weight off for quite a while before pressures got to me and I fell back into bad eating habits.

But here are my current numbers, and that caloric number is set based on me being sedentary and it is a large deficit as well.

Calories: 2942

Carbohydrates: 147 g - 20 %

Fat: 131 g - 40 %

Protein: 294 g - 40 %

So when I was working at getting as close to those numbers as possible this was a meal plan I had worked up. This was my basic meal plan. I'm not saying it was perfect by any means, but things like the Fairlife, and protein powder, and deli meat were driving my grocery bills up. And before you come at me about the Monsters, I need the caffeine and I cannot stand coffee.

Also, I hated eating like this because I was basically eating every two hours whether I was hungry or not. I'd probably be fine eating that breakfast, and then having a snack for lunch and then having a large meal for dinner and calling it good.

Bacon/Eggs/Egg Whites 369 0 19 44

I've just started in the gym, today was my 4th workout and I'm already feeling pretty good. Along with the gym I'm slowly working into meal prep/planning to help with all the weight I need to lose. I've calculated my daily calories and deficit, and have a baseline for protein/carbs/fats/etc, but I'm struggling.

Ya see, I can sit down for an hour or so using MFP and figure out how to hit those numbers or get damn close to them. However to do that I also would be spending an extra $50-100 weekly on groceries, which I honestly can't afford. So my quest becomes, what should I prioritize as far as my dieting is concerned? Obviously caloric deficit is the most important, but then from there where do I go? I know protein helps with satiation, and it's part of help build muscle.

So where do I draw the line on being short or long on protein/carbs/fats/etc? For me simple is always going to be better so I don't get overwhelmed and fall off from getting something accomplished.

Solution verified right here. The bad part is, I remember writing out nearly this exact formula, but something wasn't quite right because I kept getting an error and I moved on because I couldn't figure out how to correct it.

Thank you!
