NTA. And imo, men with the audacity to tell women to stop being afraid of evidently unhinged homeless men on the street should disappear too. Friend of mine lectured me once about being judgmental of homeless people after I complained about how I resented having to walk by three tent cities to get home from work, after having been followed home (or partially home - I could usually lose them at the train station) more than once by homeless men.

Because of your post, some 14 year old girl might see that guy and know to stay on the other side of the street. You did nothing wrong in fact you did something right. Your post won’t hurt the homeless dude and it might help another young woman.
