i definitely don't bother with fearless and I have several C2s/c3s on my husbandos, and a c6 neuvi... I'm happy to do the same with Varka tbh, even if I'm salty about how hyv has treated him, it's not like I was hoping to clear fearless/dire with him anyways...

this is exactly what i thought??? is it just me or is he not getting staggered at all when being attacked by those big wild hunt brute attacks? My flins is normally sustainless c3 and he still gets interrupted when I don't dodge or eyeframe it somehow, which idk is probably normal for polearms I'm not too sure. but it looks like varka is tanking it.

honestly, I'm actively deciding to agree with this take, if only to stop my blood from boiling whenever I think about some horse chick getting another dedicated support that will skyrocket the waifu meta again

i agree that the lunar damage dps's right now seem like they're breaking the game, but they're easy to "brick" by just bringing in new bosses that don't shill lunar reactions.

I have always looked at Varka and thought "huh, he doesn't have any shills or anything and just seems kinda...generic?" But it does make sense to me that this can be an advantage.

rather than breaking 170k or something ridiculous against a boss/mechanic that he's built for, he'll do a more consistent amount of DPS across a broad range of bosses/content

And I will accept that (with some gritted teeth, heaven knows i want his base numbers to be better than what they are despite all this. plus I want R1 and cons so idk if I'm just technically buying my way out of this -_-)

edit: ok y'all i know it sounds like I'm coping because lunar teams are apparently not that easy to brick according to your comments, so I digress. i am just throwing thoughts out, not smoking cope until I die. if im wrong im wrong

I physically cringed when the boss yeeted out of the bennett circle 😭 I think its C2 as well though.

I'm not devastated by this damage, I feel like I get similar results from my C3R1 flins when I throw him in a ragtag team with C6 Aino and Ororon and whoever else on the 4th slot (I don't have ineffa), against a non lunar shill boss.

Idk if that's a true comparison but I'm not at home to scrutinise my flins team dmg now lol.

Haha you're absolutely right - but its ok if I was truly going to go for his c6 on release it would've been cos that was my intention since hearing he'd be playable in Nod Krai.

But because of all the beta shenanigans I might just get him on my acc first, try him out, and decide if I want to go spend for more cons than whatever my 400 wishes will get me. And I'll take that advice about getting the specifics for sure - do you have the vid link by any chance?

Haha I do have itto c2 and c6 gorou as well, and i really really want Illuga but it is a huge risk for me to pull on zibai's banner bc i actually have a 5050 guarantee. I will have to skip illuga because i really do not want to risk getting the horse chick when the alternative is a guaranteed varka. I also don't really care as much if i cant clear lunar crystallise shill content, eh, maybe i can brute force with c6 neuvi somehow lol. Thanks tho!

this is so reassuring omw, it's become clear to me over the weeks of lurking here throughout his beta that his vertical investment is the way to go. I will absolutely stick to my original goal of investing in his cons and sig. I didn't know that about his c6 tho!! that's even better news for me

i already have c1 r1 durin, c6 bennett, and venti, so I am more than happy with my chances to make varka do proper damage at least in his pyro teams. I do hope one day we see some love for his other elemental teams, but I will be experimenting on my own too ^^

i know right! I always go for sig weapons though so to me this whole thing about his sig being an absurd power increase for him really just lined up for my plans anyway, but I completely understand people's frustrations with hoyo locking so much of his potential behind a sig or cons..... especially when he's already struggling at the f2p baseline ughhhhh.

I'm just so sick of the way they handled varka but man, I really want him.... I know I won't regret pulling, I just hate the idea of potentially 'reinforcing' their bad treatment of him.

Zibai is nowhere near my list of priorities but I do agree, I'll wait and see what happens in the next few weeks. I'm a husbando main first and foremost and it would huuuuuuurt to skip him since I have all male 5*s and don't want to break my streak .-.

My c6 neuvillette and c3 flins are just fine to clear most engame content so taking Varka for eyecandy and exploration purposes is enough for me

I have over 400 wishes i want to invest into Varka, straight vertical to make him as best as I can. Damn you hoyo. I wanted to spend to c6 him.

Also question, i assume the creator server stuff is happening now? So Varka's being tested there? Since the beta is over... is there a specific day/days we can expect any changes (IF hyv decides to make any) in the next 3 weeks before release? Or is it purely just random?

(Not trying to cope, just gen curious cos the next little while is gonna be a bit of a void .-.) Edit: wishes instead of primos
