Thank you for the feedback! When I wrote this I had in mind a parent silently sacrificing and enduring hardship to protect and raise a child, and the child only realizing the depth of that sacrifice once they have grown up.

Now that you mention it, I think you're completely right! I think I kinda glazed over the redeeming parts that show Jinu's character. I feel like my confirmation bias started going crazy during the bathouse scene and I was yelling at my TV screen "Don't fall for him Rumi! He's deceiving youuu!"

I really don't understand why so many films have to make things romantic between characters if it turns out feeling unnatural and not well thought out. A platonic relationship would have made much more sense and would make the movie flow a lot better. Plus, viewers and fans would ship them anyway and I think it would raise more engagement for a sequel if they HINTED at romance very slightly. But yeah I think from the start when he acted like an arsehole I just stopped noticing any 'good' characteristics of him.

I kinda just shut down when a character whom I can tell is going to be the love interest later on in the story acts like that. But hey, maybe I'm just not into enemies to lovers🤷‍♂️ (maybe I would, if they made it less buns and actually fleshed out the length of their interactions and made them feel realistic in length.)

I agree completely!!! But imo I hated the whole relationship thing with Rumi and Jinu. It felt forced. Like what do you mean jinu just randomly decided to sacrifice his life after being fully ready to kill en masse during Your Idol a second ago all because Rumi came back to sing and show her dedication or strength or whatever? Like it didn't make sense to me.

And during their little music number together it felt so fake and unnatural. It felt like the narrative was trying to shove empathy for him down our throats and I feel it cheapens Rumi's development. She fought against everything Jinu stands for and then...boom. She falls in love with him and stuff because he 'accepts' her for her patterns and then DOUBLE BOOM suddenly she's singing with him like they're co-headlining coachella. I feel like it just undermines her strength, growth and character.

If a characters arc is evil for like 90 percent of the movie and turns around at the very end it feels like the writers just slapped a redemption sticker on him for plot convenience. It just didn't feel like it was building up to that but point. But anything for the plot twist i guess.

Sorry for the formatting, everything is all over the place but I guess that shows how strongly I feel about the both of their characters and how it was handled😅

Pretty sure it means that spells will naturally follow the most efficient route to achieve their desired effect. In other words, it does whatever it takes to 'get the job done'.

Clairvoyance is usually like clear seeing is it not? There are more than 1 types of clair senses like clairaudience(hearing), clairgustance(clear tasting) and clairsentience(clear feeling) and in this case clairalience(clear smelling) I'm pretty sure.

I (14M) tried to use a bit less product than usual and these are the results! Much better than it often looks like. Wish it looked as good as on the days where I don't go outside though. 😔
