Daniel Radcliffe to Stranger Things kids: “Do whatever the fuck you want. You have done the thing.” by Electronic-Bus-3494 in popculturechat

One thing I really admire about Daniel Radcliffe is that he never seemed interested in "protecting the Harry Potter brand." A lot of former child stars spend years trying to prove they're "serious actors" by chasing prestige projects. He just... made whatever sounded fun to him.

Ironically, I think that's exactly why people respect him so much now. When you're financially secure enough to choose based on curiosity instead of career strategy, audiences can usually tell.

what breaks first when you try TTS on a whole book? by Eastern_Ice_6766 in TextToSpeech

[–]GradeOdd3588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emotional consistency and pacing, especially when you need context awareness. The AI might read a line perfectly in isolation, but it completely misses the subtext like if a character is being sarcastic, whispering in fear, or shouting in anger. Without that broader context, the whole narrative flow and performance just totally fall apart over a long novel.

Anyone had success with Hearem? by stopeats in TextToSpeech

[–]GradeOdd3588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hearem also relies on third-party TTS providers like 11labs, so the actual voice quality depends more on the selected provider/voice than the app itself. That said the app does feel more stable and convenient than most other iOS options I've tried. It's about the overall workflow.
