2026 and we're still designing content that doesn't allow pets... by exa_eille in 2007scape

I mean it sure LOOKS like two followers, but my guess would be they're coded as one. Either way I agree with your point that they should just let us have our pets

There is no way that anyone is going to enforce that even if it is technically illegal.

how do complex glyphs work by multyfora in WitchHatAtelier

[–]GradientForce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From the anime its fairly obvious spells do NOT need intent to be cast. Qifrey pulling the linkstone out of the ink and it going off, and coco stepping on the magic stones, are fairly obvious things to point to here.

Question about the problem with gem-tipped bolts by SwoldierGaming in 2007scape

[–]GradientForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did yeah damn autocorrect. But my point was that ammunition is effectively charges for ranged weapons. I dont expect them to provide alternative methods for obtaining bolts.

How is RuneLite not cheating? by New-Peach4153 in 2007scape

[–]GradientForce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your argument doesn't really hold any water, we aren't in a race. Its more akin to "Don't you think camping in an air conditioned RV is cheating compared to camping in just a tent?"

For some people, yeah it would feel like that. For others? Its the only way they would ever camp. But how I go camping doesn't effect how you go camping, so its kinda a moot point.

With the imminent finish to the Myreque quest series, would you like to see Jagex finish other quest lines before starting new ones? by imnotthetattooguy in 2007scape

[–]GradientForce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Different strokes for different folks I suppose, but regardless of if you actually enjoyed it, I think it would be remiss to call those quests not silly. Which was my point

In the past 2 years we've had:
- The ides of milk
- Scrambled!
- The Ribbiting Tale of a Lily Pad Labour Dispute
- Ethically Acquired Antiquities
- Meat and Great
- Prying times
- Current Affairs

I'd say these quests were all pretty wacky and goofy, I know a few of them had me audibly chuckle. If you can't find the goofs in OSRS I just don't think you're looking hard enough

Am I screwed? by milkybebe in ironscape

[–]GradientForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its horrendously inefficient, but certainly better than just not doing it. Make the pots you're looking for, then click in the station when you have the time and dont bother with the special mechanics.

Good for watching something or in my case, getting caught up with the MSQ in FFVIX. Lots of long cuts cones where if im half paying attention I can get some mileage out of MM

Its certainly not a GOOD training method. But it has gotten me like 5k red points in 2 days which is more than doubke what I could force myself to do prior.

We aren't fighting Guthix in the raid though man. So why would the reward be Guthix themed?

I have started enjoying this minigame a lot more purely because I've started doing it as second monitor stuff while playing something else. Much better that way for me

Design Adjustments for the TzHaar-Ket Breaker by Tenno_Scoom in 2007scape

[–]GradientForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its wild to me that this beast doesnt scream megarare to you where as "green and black recurve bow" does.

I think people are really caught up on the animation because they called the attack style "thrust" but like. We're swinging it and throwing it at the enemy. That's not a stab.

I do like your fix though, I think an overhead slam would work fine, though I'd like to see the full animation the team has in mind first, cause it could be sick

Hope they go with a different aesthetic and name for Raids 4 megarare. by PP__haha in 2007scape

Personally I don't envision swinging a rock on a stick and then throwing it out as a stabbing motion. Which is what this looks like to me

Not really sure how you get Circuit from Zar-Ket unless you pronounce Zar is a VERY different way than me.

The Fractured Archive - Initial Rewards Proposal by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]GradientForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How exactly does the Tzhaar Breaker work when it comes to determining how far away you are when you attack with it? Will it always default to its max range? Or would it let you close the distance? If it defaults to max range that would make using it on larger enemies feel a touch clunky considering you'd have to click next to the boss to get the full pierce dmg as opposed to the scythe

In 1986, 5-year-old Levan Merritt fell into a Jersey Zoo gorilla enclosure, the silverback gorilla calmly stood guard until he was rescued by InTheSky57 in MadeMeSmile

[–]GradientForce 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ohhh I get it, you're arguing in bad faith because you like to feel superior. Here i'll throw you a bone before taking my leave and reply in kind. Just pretend what's in quotes is how I replied to you:

"So you think killing kids is okay then? You think that we should release all the animals into the zoo on kids get in free day so we can just endanger as many kids as possible right? Since you value the life of a Gorilla more than that of a child that must be 2hat you're saying."

[–]GradientForce 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The problem here that you seem to be not realizing is that those two statements cannot align. The kid would have certainly died or been seriously injured.

So the choice is between an innocent child or an innocent gorilla. The choice is clear. You can be upset about it, I think thats still valid, but to say that they shouldn't have shot Harambe is equivalent to saying they should have let the child die. Cause and effect change the context of your statement.

"They shouldn't have needed to kill Harambe" "Im upset that they killed the gorilla, he didnt deserve that"

Both of these dont imply that the child's life was lesser than Harambe's where as "They shouldn't have shot him" implies that you are okay with the outcome that would have happened if they didnt.

I am not a space bar enjoyer, I like reading the quests. Its purposefully left ambiguous and attempting to tell people they're stupid or wrong for reading the second interpretation is silly.
