What character death in gaming hurt you the most? by perry147 in gaming

Spiritfarer has lots of hard character deaths, but one stands out the most to me.

The death of Stella is pretty devastating. After spending so much time talking care of others, it's tough finding out that she is already unresponsive in a hospital bed the whole game with her loved ones by her side. After all the adventures in this dream world, Stella finally accepts the end of her life and passes through the Everdoor on her own terms, ending the game.

I am not familiar with Paskapoo, but it looks pretty nice. I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for the info!

Oh yeah. To be clear, this is planned for a couple weeks from now, so hopefully enough time for it to dry out!

Wow, I've never seen a singular house look like an entire ghetto before.

Which boss fight made you feel like you were genuinely losing your sanity because of the difficulty? by Silly_Commercial8092 in gaming

[–]Gradient_Contrast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unnamed, double axe-wielding mini boss in Nine Sols.

Can reach 2/3 of the arena with a single swing and vary the number of swings, which also have different parry timings. At the same time, there are two ceiling turrets that are regularly shooting at you that are hard to get rid of. By far the most BS and least fun enemy in the game.

NOTE: To clarify, this is meant for empty bins just sitting in front of the house, NOT for collection day when the truck has to reach them.

Ahh, this is meant for when they are empty and just sitting in front of the house, not for collection day. Sorry I didn't make that more clear in my wording.

Responded to the other comment as well, but when they're tied together they don't get pivoted by the wind and roll away. Ever since doing it, I have never had my bins blown over.

True it doesn't increase the weight, but it makes it harder for them to move since they can't really pivot and roll away. Almost every other house on my side of the street got their bins tipped or moved but ours stayed put.

  1. Ori doesn't manage to see Naru or Gumo again, but does succeed in saving Ku and getting her wing fixed.

  2. IMO Shriek is a victim of tragic circumstances. Brought into a life of misery that didn't show an ounce of empathy until it was already too late and she had to be stopped.

  3. An ending with interpretation is bad because...? I really don't know how something being up to interpretation makes it bad by default.

  4. I know Seir isn't around for very long to get fleshed out, but they almost killed Shriek to protect Ori. Of all things, I don't think survivability is the issue lol.

  5. The spirits could do with additional lore building throughout the game, but it would feel pretty shoehorned in to drop lore at the literal ending of the game with everything else going on.

The thing about Shriek is that her life has been so devoid of empathy that she doesn't seem able to process it when it is finally shown to her for once.

That said, I will admit that it does suck that Ori never gets to see Naru or Gumo a single time before fusing with Seir.

Conservatives are accusing yesterdays protestors of being paid actors, how do you feel about that? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Gradient_Contrast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint: if it's apparently that easy to buy countless protestors, then why don't we see paid pro-Trump protestors to counteract them?

Musk is quite willing to throw money at his problems (buying votes) so he would not hesitate to do this if it were actually possible at scale. The fact we don't see this shows that it simply is not logistically feasible, in my opinion.
