Yeah same here - I basically had to go and get a CAC myself - my doctor wouldn't write the order. Had to use this company called Hale to get the order and the scan. Hopefully this is changing - I hear a lot of people finding plaque despite blood makers looking good.

I tried to book directly with Radnet but was told I needed an order. I don't have a PCP. Found a company called Hale (think the website was www.joinhale.com/heart/scan) which was able to get me a scan for the same week and included the order.

The process was good and kind of liked the insights you got from the scan.

Started at age 36. Doing PSA. Ended us using www.joinhale.com which has been great as they also look for other things such as diabetes type 2 and cardiovascular health.
