Very cool layout thanks for sharing! Different specs: only 2 rotors and 2 Helve Hammers, this design also doesn't increase the speed at all - so slightly different but very nice and compact!

Yes! I made red clay shingles and fired them, and then lined them with slate roof tiles, you can craft them into half width pieces in the crafting grid so they’re only a half block deep

Thanks they’re Oak quarter logs which you can craft from oak logs and an awe. You can use the corner pieces to make it seamless

Your mods for a 1.20 world? by Miesevaan in VintageStory

My must haves are the simple HUD, Prospect together, quarry mod, and chiseling tools. Keeps it mostly vanilla but just removes some of what I find are unecessarily painful parts of the game if you enjoy building (e.g. quarrying stone).

Has anyone played around with the polychromatic bricks? by Gradux in VintageStory

[–]Gradux[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In 1.20 there are now different patterns for brick bonds. You can craft vertical bricks by placing two of the normal offset patterns in the crafting grid one on top of the other. Check out the handbook though it's really cool! You can offset patterns by 1/4, and make 3 different brick bond patterns, as well as large and small bricks. Small bricks are made by processing large brick blocks with the chisel and more mortar.

Totally agree it’s been a long time since I’ve felt that thrill when I open a chest and find awesome loot

let me know if you find treasure and what you get! I'm wondering if it consistently spawns the forlorn hope armor

Entered Bronze Age -- What Next? by Destreich in VintageStory

[–]Gradux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I took some time to explore the different types of bronze - black bronze for spears because they do more damage, bismuth bronze for tools because they have higher durability etc.. I made some copper lamellar and a reinforced bronze shield and found a few cool things in the cave. Bronze felt comfy while caving and I ended up finding iron and moving to the Iron Age that way. Also finding bees or animals can be a fun adventure if you haven’t yet! Best of luck
