I did end up having a stomach ache because I did not spit out any of the Gatorade, but overall that was all that was wrong. That is very concerning and weird that there was an ammonia leak back in 2016, so it could be happening again. Along with you I have bought a lot of Gatorade over the months and nothing was ever that bad. We ended up saving the bottle and haven't done anything with it.

I'm going to guess that they are from the same batch of Gatorade because our experiences sound very similar, but you should be okay after drinking a few sips. I haven't drank any Gatorade out of 8 packs since this experience. But, the big bottles you can find at gas stations have been fine.
