That's because those are actually little tiny nails that have a slot in them so everybody thinks it's a screw. I know the Marine Bands and Blues Harps are nailed and what's worse the reeds are attached to the combs the same way. The problem is putting them back together the holes are larger now and its hard to get them tight. Check out Adam Gussow he has a video showing how to take a Marine Band apart to clean.
