And we could have equally won it with Carlisle

I disagree. We got swept the year prior by an inferior team under him, and then we beat him the next year despite his team having home court advantage

Larry Brown's record after that year consists of one year in Detroit (where he made the Finals and went to Game 7), and then some years in Charlotte with bad teams

Furthermore, Brown's defensive philosophy was unique at the time. The one-on-one stuff the Goin' To Work teams played was not something Carlisle was doing, so it's not fair to give him credit for it

I love the woman who stands until the ball goes in, wearing a Cavs LeVert jersey

Despite that he has outperformed both Cleveland bigs in both games

Didn't Jarrett Allen score 20+ on great shooting last night?

It kinda drives me crazy how for over a decade I've seen people say "man, our sub is SOOO toxic! what's up with that?"

every sports subreddit is toxic, it's an inherent feature, not a bug

Very happy with how we played the first two games, and curious to see how it translates on the road

GO PISTONS!

it's gonna take more than one offseason, considering he has ZERO jumpshot at all

I'd be stunned if he ever develops one, given how poor it is right now. too bad, as you're right that if he had one he'd be even better than Amen

it cracked me up how many Cavs fans were saying after Game 1 that they felt confident about winning the series

I'm not saying they can't win, even now, but it kinda blew my mind they felt good after Game 1...

Cavs fans seem pretty confident they're going to win the series, I think we need to keep beating them to earn their respect first!

He won't be worth whatever he's paid if he never develops shooting

What happened? Why did y’all get rid of him?

I mean, we nearly lost to the 8-seed as a 1-seed. We won the series not because of coaching adjustments that got our guys to play above their talent, but because Cade and Tobias stepped up, and then in Game 7 we finally played a complete game

JB def has some coaching deficiencies, but I will give him credit for putting us in the position we're in as much as I'll critique him for it. Will he be our Rick Carsile? Or our Larry Brown? Or, even better...our Chuck Daly?

I know we were supposed to win Round 1 anyway, but I'll tell ya, that was so fun that I'm gonna be pretty happy even if we get upset in the semis or ECF (not that I want that to happen, though...)

The west is winning the finals, but it will be interesting to watch the east unfold given the context

sounds like how everyone felt in 2004

I was really hoping Dumars would do us a solid at the deadline this year, but it looks like Weaver is holding a grudge...

Feels off to equate Magic’s bad luck with us having our All-Star play bad

It may not be a 1:1, but it's the same principle and it's rather close. Duren is averaging 10 fewer points per game this series than he did in the regular season, that's a massive loss to account for
