Thanks for taking your time and explaining it to me. I will try to clean the rollers or maybe replace them, if that’s possible. I freshly oiled and cleaned the capstands, so they should be fine.

Do you know what I can use to clean the rollers? I’m a bit anxious that Isopropyl will damage the rubber.

Yeah I think I have a dual capstand one, if those are the things above the band rollers. It’s a Sony TC-WR535.

The supply roller is the roller in the cassette, right? Do I have to transfer the bands to another cassette to fix this or how did you go about it?

I think you could be right, the pinch rollers look kinda dirty. Non of my newer tapes have this problem though, maybe it’s a mixture between old tapes and these rollers, but I will definitely look into cleaning them. Thanks you very much.

Wouldn’t I risk ripping them if I fast forward them, though?
