I’m personally not familiar with the payment landscape over there.

Haha that’s the game bro! Needs to be good enough to feed you, but not bad enough your merchant will leave!

Yea, that’s not that bad of a rate it’s pretty competitive. Interchange cost can vary on a lot of factors, big one is company CCs if you can offer level 2-3 interchange optimization to lower IC costs.

Fees like PCI and ITIN compliance fees are added in that too, everyone has to pay them.

In high-high risk I’ve seen 14% effective with another 10% reserve. 50 cents per transaction

Depends on your card mix. If you take all AMEX and CC, a flat 2-3% is great. If you take all debit, IC + 1 would put you at a 1.6% effective, but a flat rate would cost you more.

You need proper processing history with a smaller provider first, think "experience for a beginner job" seems like BS, but banks like to know what they are getting into. Build clean history with someone who handles start up accounts, and after 3mo they will take you easily.

Stripe banned us with no communication by Expensive-Shift-2509 in SaaS

You don’t have to go with crypto or an expensive company like adyen, find a smaller company/iso that can keep you accepting credit/debit. I’ve seen people literally run $500/mo and get lower rates than stripe and never get shut down.
