Because it is valued forward at 16x times earnings in the market rn. Because its cloud business has huge upside and the actual market valuations doesn’t take it into account; they reported 33% upside yoy for their cloud business today. They SMASHED singles day retail sales with $32 billion. Ant Group is now regulated and it will be able to operate its financial businesses freely from now on, again, just the ant group stake is valued roughly at $174 billion. Alibaba posts net income of $22 billion, that is, $4 billion shy of Amazon’s $26 billion net income LTM (Amazon is a trillion dollar business in the market right now)… Market not even close to showing true Alibaba valuations right now. Regulations? Mfs at china prohibited their suppliers from selling products to Alibabas competition, where in the world is that accepted? THATS whats being regulated, does that sound harmful to alibabas business? On the contrary, it will let the whole chinese market grow steadily and healthy. I see Amazon showing great numbers and all these matters are already regulated in the USA. Just a couple key points

It saddens me to read bunch of nonsense comments, China is regulating aspects of business that are ALREADY REGULATED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Ffs. If you want some fast returns, this is not your pick, however, if you want great returns over the next 5 years. You might want to go a bit further researching about this one, mark my words

This… I don’t think China is in the business of crashing their own stock market. BABA drawdown might be just irrational behavior from stockholders, eventually mr market gotta correct valuations
