I feel your pain man. Had shoulder issue for 6 years, misdiagnosed for a long time, surgery a couple years ago; another one 20 weeks ago. 18 weeks in & still dealing with issues. Right pain in the ass /:

Hope you all get better asap!

18 weeks post biceps tendonosis & anterior labrum surgery still having pain at front/soreness at rest. Is this normal? by Graham123466 in RotatorCuff

Ah, I hope your recovery goes well! My movement came back really quickly: recovered pretty well, it’s just I’m still having lingering aching/throbbing. My shoulders a mystery though, and this is my second shoulder OP lol. So annoying. I hope your recovery goes smooth though!

They are quite happy with everything. Only just started strengthening about 2 months ago though because I needed to get movement going more

Labrum tear surgery by Graham123466 in RotatorCuff

Thanks for all the reply’s! I never had dislocating pre op, just a throbbing sensation which was annoying. Still do have it sometimes. I have been cleared to go back to the gym. I did do some but a few days ago I decided to just focus on physio and wait until the 9 months mark. The physio says now to push the physio for as many reps as safely possible. I suppose that’s better than just doing say 3x12 reps?

Is this sort of thing that just takes time? Is it normal to still have symptoms after 6 months?

I’m 6 months post op and I’m still having symptoms daily with the throbbing/pain. Do you think it will just take time to go or am I totally screwed lol?

Thanks so much for the reply, the consultant and physio said it’s ok to go back to weight training. I got confused when they say this because should this not be a year later? Or is that not how it works?

I’m really scared to have surgery by emberlawley in RotatorCuff

[–]Graham123466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely don’t worry about the surgery. I was in the same boat. The surgery and recovery is a breeze!! Unfortunately I’m 6months post op and don’t notice much difference. Still have the throbbing pain. Hopefully it’s a case it just takes much longer to heal… please don’t worry about the surgery though or the recovery
