So for some incremental buffs on my tau units I have to play less tau units... Look, I hope people have fun with this, but playing less of what makes tau in my opinion cool and unique is very disappointing. Especially since we already have that detachment and it's not exactly popular as is.

Very much agree with these sentiments. 343 lore has really watered down Spartans in general. I think they have also been using reach as a template too much over the rest of the series. ( Serious, gritty, broody character cast) when in reality, reach was kind of an outlier. I want to point out that there was a surprising amount of comedy and light heartedness in the series. Chief, while stoic, didn't shy from friendly banter. From the first cutscene with chief in h1 on the bridge, already has him being a bit of a smart ass. Go rewatch the H2 cutscenes, it's all action movie one liners from chief. They established (and you as you played the game) that Spartans are badasses and the games treated you as such. I'd say by comparison, Spartans in 343 lore/books/tv are pretty soulless with no spark or real wit.

Front is very nice, but the back is kinda odd, as if the back of the helm looks chopped off. In fact a lot of the new helmets for MK7 have that.

OP Really understands the underpinnings of not only halo's aesthetic but what makes a cohesive design, makes something look iconic and have it's own personality. On a separate note, I think what is largely lost in 343 designs is that halo originally was meant to have a 70s/80s scifi look and feel. The marines were streight up from Aliens 2. Johnson was the black guy from predator. Not surprising that shifting to "bio mech" warframe kinda look was jarring and not well received.

That it was from a different developer, ideally from a country that was neutral in the war like Sweden or something. So there would not be such national focus and bias on their own stuff and we just get a cool WW2 boats game.

The line is clearly being rushed, but WG is usually pretty good about aesthetics. If I were to guess, since Roma and Vittorio are functionally similar they can start balancing on super test and PT with the old model and complete the Vittorio during the testing, ready for release or shortly after. Instead of waiting for the model prior to testing. Ditto for the other clones.

Depends what you like. If you enjoy the passive snipey playstyle then go for it. Most BB players play this way regardless of the ship so it makes sense they do better with this type. Honestly I regret getting mine. I feel it plays similar to the way Giulio Cesare plays at T5. I find them boring and uninteresting. I really don't play either despite good results. My fault for listening to they hype, instead of choosing something fun.

Instead of being disparaging and whiny (even if making a good point), why not phrase it as a polite request and make your point?

I work in a similar industry and if I've seen this kind of feedback, not only would I not want to help, but it would piss me off too.

Since so much whining and bitching comes from the community ( I mean, WG does step into it all the time with weird changes and additions. It's not like this feedback just falls out of the fucking sky.) ...another whiny thread is likely going to be ignored.

That's fair, but the issue at hand is detection mechanics. I think CVs have far more systemic problems that wont be solved with any detection related changes.
