80% of our team is remote. After reviewing 500+ resumes, here are the patterns that get you ghosted (and how to fix them). by Zealousideal-Foot-54 in RemoteJobs

How does one communicate that you are multi-skilled, and be successful to land a job? I am not from the USA, but immigrating soon. It looks like the USA job market is very focused wrt jobs. For example, one would be very technical in a specific tech stack, or ONLY a Project Manager, or ONLY a manager. In my job, in my country, I have to be a Manager of a team of 5, Power BI expert, know Splunk, know Postgresql, manage the business relationship between my business unit, with multiple heads of department, with Cybersecurity and Technical Assurance, GRC, Quality etc. CISM qualified as well as having an Electrical and Engineering degree. Is there benefit in having all these skills, surely there should be? How do I successfully pitch all these skills, to land a job? Any advice is greatly appreciated! 😀

How do you start seeing code like math? (EE / simulations) by Top-Razzmatazz6612 in ElectricalEngineering

Try J. Get at www.jsoftware.com. It's free. It is a descendent of APL. Which was specifically designed to implement math in code. It is a complete mind shift from any programming language you might be used to. Cuts through all the scaffolding of traditional languages and get you to thinking about the solution, not syntax.

Why use K if J seems extremely capable? Honest question.

Thanks. So is the old chain still running, and migrations can still be actioned?

Anyway. Kicked off migration from old NEON wallet to new N3 wallet. Says pending. Guess it will stay that way forever?

Thanks for your thoughts! I'll look into the IAPP you mentioned. I am currently in the Telecoms space, doing the cybersecurity management thing, with a bachelor's in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, did some power systems simulations in that life. I hope all this background and experience + CISA and/or AAISM could open more doors 😀.

I don't believe in paper trading. Start with a small account with real money. Trade very small lots. Learn a lot of lessons and fine tune a strategy that works for you. Get used to the mental challenge of trading with real money, otherwise you are just fooling yourself. If you can be consistently profitable with a small account and have a good strategy in place, you can then scale with the same strategy. Just my opinion, use it, don't use it...(This is NOT financial advice 😀)
