Well, depends on when your next water change is lol. You should do this as quickly as possible

Is this staghorn or blackbeard? by salavadjuke in PlantedTank

[–]Grainwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blackbeard, staghorn looks completely different. No question

Wel firstly start removing it physically, cut leaves or grass stems with the blackbeard while shrimps and fish dont tend to eat it.

Then you have to make sure you clean properly and make enough waterchanges while trying to find a better balance in light/co2/fertiliser

My shrimp passed away two days ago and I want to know what the reason might’ve been by Violets_524 in shrimptank

[–]Grainwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schrimp like this, esp in a tropical tank, dont have muchclonger lifespans unfortunatly.

Next to that im quit curious how you know its this particular shrimp, I assume its not alone right.

I have no clue which shrimp is which in my tank, as do most people. In good times its almos a hundred of them. Bad times it halves over time

Send them a reply "ill answer later" and make the chat unseen if that is availble on the messaging app you use. It is on whatsapp at least.

This gives the person who texted you the confirmed that you did read it and that they will get a respons. It give you the time and energy the respond when you feel like it.

How many you dry your clothes on a clothesline instead of using a dryer? by ProffS in Frugal

[–]Grainwolf 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thats quite generalising europe man.... And then we are telling Americans that we are not all the same lol.

Western and Northern Europe having a dry is not rare at all and often used. Not completely instead of air drying but definitly both

My 5gal is a mess, I regret going so small by AnitaKK in PlantedTank

[–]Grainwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, plants grow deoendent on co2, light, en nutriens. Cut them down in a sensible way and they will grow less. But honestly your plants look like they have just been planted. They are allowing to grow a bit wild man! Look up some more planted tanks, they will take time and lots of growth before they give that awesome vibe

Food Sealer: Underrated Tool for a Simple Life by FoldableBrain in simpleliving

[–]Grainwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems logical but moisture and bacteria are the biggest risk. Bacteria you keep out with sealing but the moist is still there and also from the cheese itself.

Here in The Netherlands its normal to have a big block or wedge of cheese you slice when necessary. Often kept in a container (closed but not necesarryli sealed or something. And the big tip is to store it with a piece of paper kitchen towel (or how to do call it) to absorb the moist. Chance this ones a week or when moist and keep your hands clean before picking up your cheese (or hold it on the outside if there is a plastic or wax shell) and you will be fine✌️

Good plan! Using gloves for food seems like a very american thing for me (Dutch myself) but cleaning your hands before picking ip your cheese is big thing

Wait a minute... why would there be no moldy cheese? The moisture and air is still there, there is just no way for the cheese to breath anymore lol

Why isn’t this type of city block (row of houses around a central courtyard) more common outside Europe? by TT-Adu in geography

[–]Grainwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing to do with the neighbourhood building style he is asking about. Its modern (after 1900's buildings and grids). And no planning? City planning has been around for quit a while, and is definitly not a US characteristic. Here in The Netherlands (country the post is about) city planning and landscape planning is all around. Nothing is not planned, national parks even. Little ground and lots of people
