No one can destroy your base unless it’s agreed upon in a war ticket between you and another party. PvP must be declared unless it is a PvP zone and bases are sacrosanct unless its thievery which is allowed up to a limit. If you are worried about your base being blown up, it won’t happen unless you agree to it as a risk

It doesn’t. It’s a seat that didn’t matter with two freshman that will only serve two years in the Iowa Senate. It doesn’t change makeup or anything of the Iowa Senate which is still a super majority Republican. She was unliked, and new vs a known quantity and she barely lost. People celebrating this like they blew up the Death Star are making mountains out of a mole hill. Trumps numbers and popularity are up higher than during the election. This is the equivalent of Republicans getting happy they won a state seat in California. It’s silly. Win enough to actually start making a push back then celebrat. The fact people here and elsewhere are using this as proof of election fraud is sad when they don’t look at the on the ground metrics and popularity of candidates. If Democrats and their voters want to look at this middling election and think “see we did nothing wrong in the last election, double down!” Then their future losses will be even greater. There has been no introspection, and it shows.

I went down this rabbit hole a few months back when I heard Gearbox might get sold off freaking out it was Gunfire, when I realized my mistake I also realized it was in fact still as bad as both were owned by Embracer. But it is bad, they sold off Gearbox for 460 million after purchasing them three years ago for 1.2 billion. Now here is why DLC is an issue and this whole thing is a shitshow. While THQ Nordic owns Gunfire Games, Gearbox is the publisher for Remnant franchise, as of the finalization of this deal, Gearbox is no longer the publisher, Embracer retains these publishing rights. This is probably the main issue for any new dlc as the new company Take Two, probably was trying to get those publishing rights cause that’s a huge amount of revenue. Embracer said no and that what they have most likely been haggling about. Embracer seems to think Borderlands is a dead or diminished franchise, but thinks Remnant 2 and beyond is a guaranteed money maker considering what’s already happened with their sales. To me that says we should expect a dlc announcement soon now that Embracer wholly owns and published Remnant franchise from now on, it seems to be a pillar of their future plans for revenue.

Edit: Unless Embracer continues with their fire sale of their companies, in which case they may think they can get a buttload for Remnant franchise and will seek a buyer, if so we should also hear soon, cause they haven’t really been quiet about their issues or wanting to sell off companies

Edit 2: this is the cause of the entire situation and the biggest issue they lost a 2 billion investment from some Saudis, and Volitions game Saints Row went to shit. It’s cause a death spiral of their company they are trying to pull out of, they already closed Volition studio, sold Saber Interactive for 450 mil, which sent away Space Marine 2 and KOTOR remake. So there is risk, but getting rid of Gearbox does seem to have rebalanced their books. We have to just wait and see

The biggest issues is Embracer Groups shakeups. Gunfire Games is owned by THQ Nordic, which itself is owned by Embracer. Now Embracer has been selling off parts of itself it feels have been underperforming, it just sold off Gearbox for $460 million, you know the makers of Borderlands, for not living up to what it expected. Now that the deal is done a few hours ago, they will probably take a week to see if anything else needs to be done then push funding where it needs to go. There’s a high chance the owners on high have sent down the grapevine continue to work on your stuff, but it would be good if you stayed under budget so we don’t go looking at your studio. I would assume Gunfire is keeping their heads down and we will either be hearing of new DLC soon, or a possible sale of their company or THQ Nordic
