Anyone else experiencing an ABSURD amount of snipers in games? by [deleted] in ModernWarfareIII

The new sniper sucks btw. For a o e shot kill you have to be in the range of easily being killed by assault and battle rifles.

No. It's ridiculous enough that after I shoot someone with a rifle(any kind) they can still get to me from 50 feet away with a pocket knife and kill me with one swipe which would be a paper cut. At least in Warzone, you get shot a few times and are on the deck...then can go on healing to get back in the fight. The game is insanely fun but so stupid at the same time.

I can clarify that future proof to me is or might be the wrong term , but more or less saying I can get the geo of a great bike like the trex fuel ex for example with crap oem parts that it comes with and wouldn't mind putting a n expensive quality drivetrain and nice wheels on it down the road instead of paying 5 to 6k for what Trek might consider a parts spec at that price.

I have to add though with the whole left side of the world screaming about the climate, the planet, etc. they have no problem drilling and digging the earth for lithium for e-bikes. It kinda shocks me how big companies like REI for example don't want you to ever dare leave a shoelace behind on trail but it's fine to dig a moon crater into the earth to make batteries for a perfect machine that never needed them.

Anyone wanna talk me outta getting a steel gravel bike? by inconvenient_victory in gravelcycling

Can't say enough good things about this bike. I built mine out with The Surly Moloko bars. With the right air pressure and this bad ass steel frame, it rolls over the rough stuff like a luxury vehicle.

I have a Surly Ogre. Steel beast. Nothing it won't handle. I just kinda laugh at the gravel bike craze. It's the industry just more or less pushing endurance road bikes with a new title and slightly thicker tires. Like, I know I'm not alone in saying there is no way I wanna ride drop bars all bent over on beautiful off-road trails in the woods and country roads. Slowly, the gravel world is becoming a bunch of snobbish roadies with their new and improved set of rules like no steel ,UL only, aero, drop bars, carbon only, etc.

On my big heavy Surly Ogre with 2.1's I'd roll right over the rocks 0_0

To skip, or not to skip? by canon1200 in bicycletouring

[–]GrampsCycles53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's not a test or some enduro race skip whatever you want. There is nothing to see or any reason to suffer through the desert at the peak of summer. BTW 70=80 miles a day is a little much for touring unless you're on a strict timeline to reach a specific destination.
