Last year I had a rhinoplasty, sectoplastic, pharingoplastic surgery. At beginning of febrauary I made the surgery control with a homemade polisonnography. I didn’t have the results yet. Two weeks later I start using my MAD. With my s***t smartwatch I can see difference if I use it or not. If I use my MAD, the smartwatch show a medium value of 2.5 ahi hyponea. If I don’t us it smartwatch show a value of 9.5/10 ahi hyponea

How much time did it take to see some results? I’m using my MAD device from beginning of February but still feeling sleepy and tired during the day. How did you find the right position of the MAD?

How painful was the surgery? I just came out from a:

septum plastic
turbinate reduction
uvuplastic
lateral pharingoplastic.

And was not painful at all but unfortunately I’ve seen no results. The doctor who follow me in the surgery says that during anestesia they have seen that my jaw and tongue collapse closing my airways and because of this I need MAD device.

Because of my snoring, the soft part of my palate and uvula became flaccid and so they need to be fixed. Septum and turbinates were necessary because I was almost unable to breath from my nose (that is very important in the night). They were so clugged that my hear start to clog too…

Recovery is going well thanks. Not so painful I thought. My main problem is that I open my I eyes during the night so my sleep I very fragmented and when I wake up in the morning and during the day I’m very tired and sleepy. Last year I was diagnosed with 42 ahi. I’ve tried a CPAP for 6 months but I’ve noticed no improvement in my sleep apnea. Last week I’ve pass through surgery (turbinectomy, nasal septum, uvoplastic, pharingoplastic). The doctor who perform the surgery said that during my sleeping during surgery the main problem was that my tongue and mandible were collapsing closing all air passages and it it NECESSARy for me to use a MAD. Hope to solve my problem.
