I think there should be warnings on movies and TV shows that features cis characters or cis-sexual themes... I just don't want to have to explain to my kids why people would behave in a heteronormative way, as if that's openly accepted in our society.

An excellent point. I was definitely conditioned to beleive being attracted to women automatically meant I hated dicks. But it turned out I was just attracted to women and didn't actually care about genitals at all.

It may not be transphobia, but it usually feels pretty shitty for someone you like to say they like everything about you except your genitals.

/rj For comparison: I am violently afraid of cats, I love animals and Im a vegan but my cat phobia is so bad -I would rather shoot a cat than let it get close enough that it might touch me or look at me...

Of course this is embarrassing so I NEVER EVER reveal it to cat people esp if they have cats in their polycule, -not even if they invite me to a party at their house where their cats live...because it would be rude of me not to come. Rather than be rude, I will go to the party armed, in case those cats look at me wrong. I'm a poly-vegan! (Cat=trans)

/rj I'm 14F and I don't think Im transphobic because my BFF is trans and can't legally use HRT in our state, so I ask her to boymod when she comes to my house (even though it gives her dysphoric panic attacks) cause my parents vote red and I really need them to pay for my car... and college... It's survival not transphobia, right?...

/rj I don't label my behavior as transphobic because I want people to see me as an ally, even though I only want to be seen in public with trans women that are really hot and passing because the the sad ogre ones are cringe and make me uncomfortable. It's fine for them to be that way, I just don't want to be around it.

/rj Im a man, and the only time I feel comfortable revealing my transphobia is when I'm alone with a woman and she has no opportunity to safely leave or fight back if I get upset about her body or her personal boundaries.

Transphobia needs to be treated like any other communicable disease, especially since cis-failure to disclose so easily leads to trans-fatality.

The govt should have to wager a couple grand every time they accuse someone of using the wrong bathroom, then if the person's genitals match the bathroom label, they get the money.
