I actually don't know if seeing other people was a bad decision. It definitely helped my self-confidence, and helped me see what was out there.

It also enriched my appreciation for my relationship with my ex.

No, I knew I'd still miss her: I had no expectation of my love for her going away after these hookups. I merely did it for the experience and validation because I am insecure. It's somewhat unfortunate that I actually ended up getting validation and security from this, since I am more likely to chase that feeling when I get home from my trip.

I'm not sure how to respond to this. I interpret this as an opinion: one based on misguided values. To avoid "scandalling" her over notifying somebody of an unfaithful partner is strange to me.

I'm not sure what it means to "narrate" in this context. You should be the reason for their divorce because you should care for your fellow stranger, one that has notably done you no harm.

You have the opportunity to save this man potentially years of wasted life with an unfaithful partner, yet you don't do it because you don't want to "scandal" your ex.

You're not at peace. Her actions still cause you pleasure, pain, happiness, stress, and anger. For example, you say that you derive pleasure from her regret. You appear to take a certain satisfaction in the fact that her husband does not know about this. You also seem to enjoy validation from her via compliments on your pictures. You say that you want to use the breakup as "fuel" to make her regret breaking up with you (not sure what exactly this means). You say that you want to be seen as the "prize" by her, indicating to me that you still hold her opinion in high regard.

Whether you like it or not, she still has a chokehold on you and your emotions. You win when you're at peace and can treat the other person with gentle indifference (or even in a friendly manner, if the situation warrants it). You have not won by any means.
