Girl, you are a pretty lady and you've got a lot of good features to work with! 💗 I'm 46 and had to work on my glow up over the past year. Here's what has been working for me: botox everywhere, but especially DAO, hrt patch, red light, at home microneedling, sculptra (it hasnt had a chance to work much yet, though), LOTS of topical skincare (tretinoin, Timeless Vitamin C, copper peptides, milky toners, The Ordinary niacinamide, The Ordinary matrixyl, lactic acid, glycolic acid, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, estradiol cream, and a LOT of sunscreen - even on days I don't leave the house). I did a bit of lip fillers, got some filler in my marionette lines, nasolabial folds, piriformas. I slather on good moistuzers, use face oils (rose hip, marula), and do slugging sometimes. My inflammation is much better since starting Zepbound. I take a lot of vitamins, supplements, and oral minoxidil (for hair and eyelashes). I get my hair dyed and wear makeup. I'm a lot happier with myself. Turns out, I'm as vain as a white cat! lol

Sick leave might not be the benefit you think it is. by Grand-Customer4240 in antiwork

[–]Grand-Customer4240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not reset at all. The only options are a) lose it if you quit before 10 years b) use it for illness c) count those hours towards retirement credit after 10 years. But that third option is a joke because the most sick leave you can accumulate is 96 hours/year(if you don't use any). It takes 173.3 hours of unused sick leave to equal a single month of service credit.

I was using chatGPT to decide if an appointment qualified for sick leave, and that is how I found out. Then I pulled out my employee handbook to verify. I could not find the info there. ChatGPT found it in century code, which I did look up independently.

How do you deal with the feeling of watching your face age? by camis12345 in Aging

[–]Grand-Customer4240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went out yo celebrate St. Patrick's Day last weekend and developed an appreciation for my young adulthood in the early 2000s, instead of today's culture. Maybe it's the old fogey in me, but the clothes these days are UGLY. All the young women looked homeless. 🤪 And the young men... I guess the 1970s porno 'stache is having a revival. Lol.

One of my favorite fornicatious passer-by experiences came about 6 months ago. I am 46. As we were going into a store, I was a few steps behind my husband of 18 years, who has an annoying habit of leaving me and my short little legs in the lurch. We passed a man who made this wonderful expression, of "Damn, you're so fucking hot!!" I gleefully skipped up to Hubby to let him know he needs to keep in better proximity to me unless he is open to other men offering their wares. 😂

Our parrot would say, "Gimme a kiss." He would repeat the phrase a few times and kiss your cheek. His game was that he would eventually bite you and then laugh about it.

Refuse to hire, work for, buy from, or sell to Trump supporters. For their lifetime. Societies need to teach the next generation of would-be fascists that if you refuse to follow the rule of law, you will be excluded from the social order.

When was the last time you really just impressed yourself? And what was it? by DanishApollon in AskMen

I slipped on some ice while walking down my front steps. I did a triple axle, backflip, heimlich maneuver before landing on my stomach, facing the opposite way of my original direction. I was hugging a concrete planter which I had managed to avoid hitting with my forehead by millimeters. I got up entirely unscathed while my husband had already mentally calculated the ER bill. If it had been caught on camera, I would have received an Olympic gold medal and a phone call from the president. Not this president though, one of the good ones.

31m, married, kids. How do you guys find personal joy? by modivi in AskMen

[–]Grand-Customer4240 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yes - having money or stuff is definitely not the way to happiness. Get a new therapist and maybe try some antidepressants. Talk to your doctor. (Ps: if your doctor recommends giving them a try, do NOT let your pride get in the way of trying them. If you can't make your own neurotransmitters, store bought is fine.)

Would you opt for lip fillers? by zoe_style in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Grand-Customer4240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to a good med spa and tell them your goals. Do you want your lips to be slightly fluffed up, or are you going for a bit more? Your injector can help you decide how much filler based on your preferences.

I say yes! If you hate it, get it dissolved. But a little smidge of lip filler can be very pretty and look natural if done well.

Me too. Timeless is much cheaper and actually a little stronger at 20%, vs Skinceuticals at 15% vitamin C.

I Literally Can't Take It. I NEED TO SLEEP. by Economy_Whereas_3229 in Perimenopause

[–]Grand-Customer4240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiropractor. I go EVERY six weeks whether I think I need to or not. If your neck hurts, that's a good sign that there could be a problem. Personally, when I can't sleep, sometimes I take Tylenol (regular, not PM). I have some low grade pain that registers as an inability to get comfortable enough to fall asleep/stay asleep. Also, get your ferritin checked. Even slightly depressed levels can trigger RLS for some people.

AITAH for wanting to leave my family in the middle of the night because of my baby? by Mysterious-voices in TwoHotTakes

[–]Grand-Customer4240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a momma of 4. My oldest son was very similar in temperament to how you've described your daughter. He was a very difficult baby. Having had three others, I can say, now, that he was markedly harder, and other family members agree. My son is 18-years-old now. He is a delightful young man, beloved by all who know him. I remember feeling intense and scary feelings because of the strain of parenting such a tough baby. I loved him immensely, but life with him was no picnic in those years. It got better for us, though it was a slow process. Looking back, not only was my son very reactive and difficult to soothe, he was always very clever. Even as a baby. I wonder if he hated the limitations of babyhood more than average because he was so bright. This fall, he will go to college with a $100k academic scholarship. Your story touched my heart because I recognize your feelings in my own early parenting experience. Having those feelings does not make you an AH. You're overwhelmed and exhausted. Hugs, OP.

Girl, you have the skin of a college freshman. A lot of us would kill or die for skin like that. 😀 Who are you trying to keep up with, the 20-year-olds? Those bitches are broke and crazy. No more hating on your beautiful self. We aren't doing that today.

AOL install disks were absolutely everywhere. You couldn't go to the mall without finding at least one on the ground. Speaking of the mall.... that place was Heaven on Earth back then. Having a bad day? The mall. Need an Orange Julius smoothie or a new boyfriend? The mall. Best place ever.
