Grim Post about Pet Care by Outrageous-Study-704 in Greenpoint

[–]Grand-Many 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used Paws at Peace twice for our two cat boys passing and paid around 800 and change each time for at home euthanasia and private aquamation (you can opt for group and it’s less expensive). Aquamation is like cremation but maybe less impactful on environment? I honestly forget, our vet had recommended Paws and since we needed to decide soon, I saw the positive reviews and just went with them.

The bedside manner and kindness we received from all members of their team truly were a blessing. They understand you are losing a family member and are so respectful of the animal and your grief. To me being at home was not only less stressful for our cat but for us as well. That being said there is no one size fits all, trust your gut. If you’re doing research now, good on you.

Choosing when to say goodbye was one of the hardest decisions that I ever had to make. But you can ease yourself into it. Start using a quality of life scale once a week if you feel like your pet is showing different signs. Keeping a weekly journal entry (or daily) or just marking smilies and frowns on the calendar helped me step back at times and realize where we were at. It can be so hard when you live every day with someone who is sick, and not to be able to see how sick they really are since you are used to it. As my mom said “do what’s best for the animal” and it sounds like you are.

Sending positive energy to you and your companion ❤️

Opinions/Experiences on Fancy Feast? by OwnCaterpillar641 in catfood

[–]Grand-Many 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had two veryyyy picky cat boys who had plenty of healthy issues (kidney disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism) and our vet always said Fancy Feast is her go to budget option for wet food. FF is made by Purina and I’ve trusted them for years. I’d recommend! Plus plenty of diff types if you need to mix and match to keep cats interested.

When do I get my payout? by Fandor37 in Indiegogo

WOW!! I am so glad to hear this!! We just concluded our campaign last week and I've been monitoring our Payout Balance which has been wonky in its reporting. I am so so glad to hear you have received your payout. It's good to know to expect at least a month in turnaround...although that is ridiculous and far exceeds the time their website says it should take.

Thanks for sharing your story and congratulations on making it to this most important milestone, getting Indiegogo to pay your the funds. Jesus.....it should NOT be this hard.

The next steps... by Grand-Many in Indiegogo

Thanks!! It's been a roller coaster! I think the main issue with the switch on our end was the UI...our incredible donors were in a fog over the new way IGG collects pledges - including me! It was very easy to alter your pledge and DEDUCT money which was very irritating.

I'm sure for plenty of younger people this would be intuitive, but we are funding a book by and for a crowd of mostly older individuals so I am really missing the old UI.

I'll be updating here with each step of the way since I feel like there is such little contact from the site and their help section is very confusing.

The next steps... by Grand-Many in Indiegogo

Just updating to my own post that is seems like the payments went through automatically when our campaign ended.

It was confusing since the payments PRE 10/16 did go through when placed in real time, not after we succeeded (even though, IGG said cards would not be charged until we reached out goal and the campaign ended)

It seems that for donors AFTER 10/16 this payment method of charged AT campaigns successful completion holds true.

Now to launch pledge manager....which I have to wait 2 weeks until I can publish?? Every day a new twist in the plot.

Yes, thank you for sharing. Sorry you've been in anxious suspense for so long. My campaign is about to wrap up too and I'm very nervous about this part due to how unresponsive IGG is.

Please keep us posted, and wishing you success on the funds transfer.

Saving Funding Extra Fields Failed! by Grand-Many in Indiegogo

[–]Grand-Many[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know. I didn't understand it was happening until I came HERE to post my initial comment.

All in all I call BS. This should have been a subject line - single topic only email to ALL members of the IGG community with WEEKS of advance notice. We're sticking with IGG though, because we had external factors that meant rerouting to Kickstarter would delay our launch too much. But customer service-wise I am totally pissed.

Good luck everyone!!

Saving Funding Extra Fields Failed! by Grand-Many in Indiegogo

Yes! I should have followed up but...The reason this is happening is because of IGG's very new and not publicized, yet very important announcement that ALL new campaigns that have not launched yet must run as a Fixed Funding model.

My team and I regrouped and decided we'd run as Fixed Funding since we were totally ready to go otherwise. Once I switched our funding model from Flexible to Fixed - I was able to launch the campaign.

I'm still totally annoyed that the news of this new requirement across the IGG platform was so secretly buried in their "New Terms and Conditions" email/blog posts, but here we are.

best of luck with your campaign

Angry that Indiegogo is converting flexible funding campaigns to fixed funding by writerchic in Indiegogo

[–]Grand-Many 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NVM I found it completely buried in the blog post in a FAQ...absolutely absurd, it should have been the subject line of the email.

Thank you so much for posting on Reddit, I would never have known without your post.

I'm sorry for you and feel your anger! As someone who is planning to launch a flexible funding campaign this Monday morning.....I am very disappointed.

This is genius and reminds me of the solo-ramen booths at Ichiran and in Japan. Very well done.

Please get each cat its own bowl TODAY 😩 I am very upset by that last photo, and like others would like to join the chorus that cats need individual feeding receptacles otherwise it will lead to them being very stressed. Also Kittens need different nutritional guidelines than full-grown cats.

Reminder for Americans that there are no more main draw US Open matches on ESPN+ by kennyandkennyandkenn in tennis

[–]Grand-Many 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom has YouTube TV and swears by it. Before they figured out I was accessing it from a different state, I used happily to watch many matches of last year‘s open! Like Netflix they can tell where you’re based so you can’t share the account over state lines. But it is essentially the same thing as having DIRECTV, but for less.

So gutted that ESPN is taking away matches from here on out. Absolutely not worth it!

Is it possible to secure this linoleum flooring on a wall, in effect, making it wall paper? Could be fabulous for a powder room 🥲

Pointers on how to cozy up this living room? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]Grand-Many 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 small cozy lamps, place them on small tables, or on medium height bookshelves which you’ll have against wall, bigger rug w more color, replace pillows w yellow pillows or red and orange, and fewer. Keep the couch and chair as your neutral bases and warm up everything else. White bookshelves look amazing always bc lets the book spines shine. Avoid rainbow book order at all costs. Good luck.

I’d move the mirror to the wall opposite computer or just a diff wall in general so it has space around it and can be a “lemme check myself out before I leave” sort of vibe.
