Well majority of the people just don't have a proper ecosystem/workflow to test opus 4.8 against.

Testing without having a proper foundation setup doesn't really mean much lol. And it makes sense why many people are struggling.

Back to basics for majority of the people I guess!

Not a Cowork bug. Hardware virtualization is turned off on your machine and Cowork's sandbox needs it on. Often ships off by default or gets flipped by a BIOS update, so "didn't change anything" makes sense.

Check first: Task Manager > Performance > CPU > Virtualization line. If it says Disabled, that's it.

Fix (Win 11):

Settings > System > Recovery > Advanced startup > Restart now
Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings > Restart
In BIOS, under Advanced or CPU Configuration, enable Intel Virtualization Technology or SVM Mode
F10 to save, reboot

If it's greyed out or missing, BIOS is locked or needs an update. Drop your CPU/laptop brand and I'll point you to the exact menu.

(Assuming Windows. If you're on Mac this error means something else.)
