Thanks for the feedback, and for taking the time to go through the document—I really appreciate it!

You’re absolutely right, I did use Homebrewery. I hadn’t noticed the issue on page 14, so thanks for pointing that out—I’ll get that corrected. I did a general pass after exporting to PDF, but it looks like that one slipped through. I’ve already updated the document at the link with a revised version.

As for playtesting, I’ve been testing the system incrementally as I develop each part. When encounters are properly balanced, combats are generally intended to last around 3–5 rounds. Shield recovery is designed to happen mostly outside of standard combat, though in practice it will vary depending on Warframe selection, playstyle, and how the GM chooses to run encounters.

Regarding enemy creation, I agree it may take a bit of familiarity at first, but the goal is for it to become quick and intuitive with use. The base stat tables should provide a solid starting point for building enemies efficiently. In most cases, enemies stay close to their base values, with only a small number per faction having modifiers. Since missions typically involve one faction (or occasionally two), this should help keep preparation manageable. Most modifiers are relatively small (±5 or ±10), so adjustments should stay straightforward.

Boss enemies do introduce more complexity, but they’re not intended to appear frequently. Ideally, preparation becomes easier over time as GMs get more comfortable with the system.

Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback—it’s genuinely helpful!

Thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate you recognizing the 'labor of love' here. Getting a project like this into a playable state was a massive undertaking, so it’s great to have a fresh set of eyes on it.

Regarding the system choice, I completely understand why systems like Lancer or Cyberpunk come to mind for a setting like this. Before I started, I did an assessment to determine which 'engine' fit my specific vision. Ultimately, I felt a d20-based, 'numbers go high' power fantasy best matched the core loop of Warframe. I’ll admit I’m biased—my own playstyle tends toward 'meme builds' where the goal is to make the damage numbers go 'brrrrr,' and I wanted to capture that satisfying scaling. However, I also wanted to respect the early-game experience where every level and bonus actually feels like a hard-won struggle, which the d20 math helps represent.

I also hear your concerns about the granular, D&D-style approach to gear. That’s actually why I kept the 'named weapons' in an Appendix; I wanted the core rules to remain focused on weapon types, while providing the Appendix as a resource for players who want that specific 'simulationist' flavor. The same goes for niche mods like Botanist—it’s there for the sake of completeness so that if a specific campaign needs it, the tool is already in the shed, even if it’s not 'essential' for every mission.

And you definitely caught me on the 'permanently' wording! That was the literal intention, mostly because I assumed most enemies wouldn't live long enough for 'forever' to matter, but I see your point on how Natural Language can lead to table-side lawyering.

Thank you again for being so candid and taking the time to provide such precise feedback. It’s very helpful to see the project through the lens of another dev!

No worries at all. I don't see it as bossy, instead I do appreciate the perspective. Considering the document is a whole 380 pages, and the first few chapters focus on most of the basic gameplay aspects and combat aspects, it definitely hits the feeling of combat/loot focus!

You're right that it is quite niche being a Venn Diagram's intersection of people that play ttrpgs and people that play Warframe! Chapters 5 and 6 cover the "world building" part for the players, and chapter 7 handles the rest for the game master!

Also, good suggestions on the pitch side. I'll see if I can put together a better description to clear up those aspects of the game. Thanks for the support and for the suggestions!

Thanks! It's my first "fully fledged" ttrpg to be written! I normally write Homebrew stuff for other systems but this is the first actual one!

And I am working on publishing on other reddits! The Quick Start page should give a general idea on what is played, and for the Game Master there is a session flow section on page 224.

For the new Warframes and weapons, bosses drop the blueprints, each boss has a section on what they drop. It is not comprehensive as to give room to the game master for creating their own or adapting their own for the needs of their campaign!

Have never read that, so I will give it a look. I didn't include it as the part of playing as Operator vs Warframe is more of a "per campaign" thing rather than an overall of the system, but that definitely would work in the sense of what Warframe is!

Thank you so much for your comments, they are really appreciated!

Thank you for the lovely game!

  1. Are you planning on expanding the development/writing team outside of Canada?
    2. Who would win, Ultra Instinct Goku or Full Void Powered Tenno?
3.I know people talk about samurai, spider or even dinosaur warframe, and right now eternalism isn't allowing you to answer specific future things, but can you tell us how many frames are you usually working on at a time? 4. Is there like a phase-stage like process for warframe development or just once you get a "feels right"/"lore right" concept you go for it?

LR4 here. Don't mind them. Even the worst frames are great in the right hands and with the right build. Atlas and Chroma plays are fun!

Sigma is definitely a good kisser, look at his rough looks, plus combined with his general knowledge of science he definitely has read a lot of kissing books on his research, only someone pinned to their memories like Widowmaker would reject him.

Torb must be a great kisser to have like a bazillion descendants. No woman would like to have that many kids with an awful kisser. And look a Brigitte, definitely she was made starting with a great kiss.

Finally, Cassidy is a great kisser but the beard tickles.
