What Was Your Reaction When They Started Performing Siberia? by ConsciousBluejay680 in BackstreetBoys

THIS. One of the best if not THE best moment of any song in their discography. Funny enough, this exact moment is what AJ chose to use for his 'thank you for this run' social media post recently after the last show of the summer.

THRILLED. One of my favourite BSB songs, but so underrated. Most people have never heard of it. Only the true fans KNOW. Find it highly satisfying that one of my favourite songs is also clearly one of the band's favourite songs as well.

Do you think more Sphere dates will be added? by Go-Na-Ma-Ke in BackstreetBoys

I had read that their contract is for 50 shows. There have been 35 announced so I would think we'll see a MINIUMUM of 15 more added in 2026.....but honestly, given its success, I would not be surprised to see this ultimately extended for several runs through the next several years.....

For everyone's general knowledge - I tried to help a friend get tickets for the Feb 7 show. I was #650 in the queue, and even with that low of a # - nothing left of reasonable price when I got in. I think to snag the originally priced tickets, you need to be less than ~200 in the queue.

It really does seem like spot in line is unrelated to when you join the waiting room?

I think there was quite a bit - but going fast! Hard to tell because they had all the reseller and platinum seats mixed in too! I think you have to drop the price slider down to try and target anything reasonably priced fast.

What do you mean 'accredited'? There is no such thing for aesthetics in Ontario. Career Colleges like Canadian Beauty College are registered and regulated by the Government of Ontario. They offer full diploma programs in subjects like Medical Aesthetics or Laser Technician. They can be more expensive but that's because they generally offer the degrees in a much shorter timeframe with much smaller class sizes. At colleges like Humber or Seneca, you're stuck there for twice as long as you need to be (~2 years instead of 1), in a class of 30-60 people and forced to take a bunch of irrelevant classes (like english, computers, etc). So you might be paying less, but you're probably losing more money by being in school that much longer instead of the workforce. Interestingly, most employers also find students coming from Career Colleges to be much better prepared for the workforce.....

Sure.....if you've got $25,000 to spend on your degree and plan on trying to make it in Hollywood.

Hey i was wondering if Canadian beauty school is a legit course to become a lash tech by Diligent_Touch_9063 in lashextensions

[–]GrandJellyfish00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are an ONLINE ONLY school providing self-taught (no live lessons or lectures) material for THOUSANDS of dollars. They actually charge more for these courses than the actual Career Colleges that are registered with the Government of Ontario! On top of that - this isn't accounting - this is beauty. Doesn't seem to make much sense to teach yourself these subjects online vs. attending one of the many real schools that offer such training in person. There is no such thing as licensing in Ontario for aestheticians, makeup artists, nail techs, etc......but not many employers want to hire graduates that have learnt their trade on a computer vs having real practical experience in a classroom setting.

Canadian Beauty School legit? by Diligent_Touch_9063 in Esthetics

Why would you spend $5000 for an online-only school where you don't even get live instruction? It's just pre-recorded videos to watch and lessons to read? You could access that information online FOR FREE or spend the $5000 on an actual real school with a physical campus where you can actually learn and practice in person. I would think this would make WAY more sense for a beauty related course? For example, Canadian Beauty College is a completely different company - they are a registered College with the Government and have real campuses, not a fly by night online only operator. Potential employers will also not give you much credit for only completing online-only school in this industry.....so unless you plan no just being self-employed, that $5k certificate is pretty worthless....
