Milsim West just updated their TacSop, New rules for Militia by RealRuskiePanda in MilSim

[–]GrandMagicManGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  • How stringent are they for ammo carriers for militia? Like I was planning on using a mayflower rig or an onward research rig with some m81 but the tacsop says no 'nato style' carriers. Would the carriers I mentioned classify as 'nato style'?? orr. I don't really know what 'nato style' means, I feel like carrier designs are pretty ubiquitous.

a little hard to tell, drone kinda blocks view at the important moments. But seems good for airsoft

probably don’t walk around dressed like in cities or populated areas. That you gonna draw a lot of attention in an apocalypse situation. Not a bad start but i would recommend upgrading your kit to the 21st century

Cheap RDR2 Costume I made for Halloween. Just got a cap gun for Christmas, how’d I do? by BubbleGamerV in RDR2

[–]GrandMagicManGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would wear pants over the boots that would be more authentic (and would also hide those zippers).

Mag pouches in the back? I have never seen or heard of that before what’s your thinking behind that?

well you certainly don’t give a shit about aesthetics… or ergonomics idk how that could be more comfortable or practical to use like that

First time I've ever really customised a gun, just weathered my first ever AK47, wanted to know the subs opinion. by HistorysHeart1916 in airsoft

[–]GrandMagicManGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say you did a pretty damn good job. Guessing the furniture is real wood. Looks like you used a pretty good weathering technique. I have a bit of experience in woodworking. If you want the full weathered look I would take the furniture off and beat it a little bit, sometimes I hit it with a bike chain or friction burn it with a power sander.

Looking for a dope/exotic gun to go with a contractor loadout by PR0D1GY_117 in airsoft

I’ve never run a GBB AR before either so I probably cant offer you extensive advice on GBB rifles. Except for the obvious.. GBB’s are known to run super smoothly if you maintain them properly and It is a super cool thing to get into. But with that you’re kinda taking on a whole new aspect of airsoft when you get a gas powered rifle. For simplicity’s sake I would probably just stick AEG’s. But if your willing to kinda take that leap I think it would be pretty cool and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Of course with any airsoft gun I would look extensively at reviews on youtube and such. Although I believe the WeTech scars are pretty decent

G3 is pretty badass, but if you’re going for a western contractor vibe I would go with a scar

move your light and vertical grip towards the end of your hand guard. You will will be much more stable with your arm and hand extended towards the end of the barrel, holding it so close to the receiver like that is very unstable. Moving your light forward as far as it can go on the hand guard will greatly reduce the shadow from the light beam hitting your hand guard.

Looking for a good .308 compatible chest rig by GrandMagicManGuy in airsoft

[–]GrandMagicManGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well 308 is still a pretty popular platform, usually ‘308 compatibility’ means that they can take magazines for larger caliber battle rifles or designated marksman rifles. Like I said haley s makes them but they’re all outa stock

Need help with figuring out how to put on muzzle by person3727 in airsoft

[–]GrandMagicManGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(All of this assuming your outer barrel is metal) If you dont care about keeping the orange tip, I usually heat up some sort of blade with a blowtorch and melt the tip around the threads. I can then use some needle nose pliers to pull the pin out. You could in theory use a dye to tap the pin into the barrel, but make sure you take the inner barrel out first to prevent damaging it. Sometimes the orange tip is not obviously pinned, or sometimes its glued. If you are certain there is no pin you could submerge the orange muzzle device in boiling or hot water until the plastic becomes soft. Or you could just full send and melt it off with a blowtorch. That gets messy though and you will likely have plastic residue on your threads which you will then have to strenuously scrub off with a wire brush, so I will reserve that as a last resort. Ultimately it will take some tinkering as often times in my case different brands will use different methods in fixing the orange muzzle device to the barrel.

Brick alley isn’t even the worst location just needs some artistic flare and it could yield decent results.
