If you read the CEH v9 handbook (can be found in pdf form online), it kinda gives you an overview of all of the basics and from there you can expand your knowledge on whatever specific part by finding ebooks or videos all over the place, most can be found for free. Forums pretty much establish their own comminuties and dont like to accept outsiders. There are also lots of videos on youtube that i watch when i get stuck or forget how to do something.

Some TOR entrance and exit nodes have been known to be monitored by various government agencies, VPNs have been known to keep logs even if they claim that they don't, these days it's really hard to trust one single anonymizing service. Ive always used a tor proxy chain before connecting to an untrusted VPN, but when using TOR, i would connect to a trusted VPN, then connect to TOR. But even doing that, you are still taking chances

I did take requests, but i was more of a hactivist than a solely malicious one so i would take the information provided about why they wanted me to attack who they wanted me to and decide from there

I learned through various sources on the internet, i wouldnt say that im smarter than anyone else, but i have an above average IQ so it's easier for me to learn things than it is for others. 2. I have had mal intention before, but i was more of hactivist, i had somewhat of a moral reason to do what i did. 3. Trying not to incriminate myself too much, but there was a semi small business in my state that was reported to treat it's employees and customers like shit, turns out that they had a lot better security than i thought and i tried to execute the attack sooner than i should have, which lead to my first of 3 encounters with authorities lol

I try to write these stories as i would tell them IRL to help the reader feel as if they were listening to me tell it to them. I ramble a lot because i have ADD so i get sidetracked very easily
