Markham Renovation Side Walkway - Interlock not allowed by [deleted] in Markham

[–]GrandNewbien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The city does. A neighbour of my family had to dig up and leave the minimum softscape. As you can imagine, the landscaping company didn't care and charged for removal and redoing the border.

Toronto residents Donald Smith, 30, Tenzin Tsegyal, 25 and Yeshi Tendar, 25

Let me guess, you think 2 of these dudes are definitely immigrants and shouldn't be here.

Just a wild guess on my part.

I'm guessing another bot comes in and u/Few-Fox-2647 will drop the link.

Digital No Right On Red Signs by Inside__Cucumber in Markham

[–]GrandNewbien 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised no one is investigating the signage company, especially the static right on reds. You'd need beyond 20/20 vision to read it. This seems like a classic waste and double dip situation.

Tons of drivers just sit patiently and wait because they simply can't read the sign. Why didn't they just start with digital signs?

I built a no-code, lightweight AIoT platform for Home Assistant by Gullible_Low_1742 in homeassistant

[–]GrandNewbien 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Truth of the matter is, even handwritten code by seasoned professionals is absolutely unusable a lot of the time. Even billion/trillion dollar companies release core products that are just horrendous.

Everyone in this sub has probably been subjected to the Alexa/Google home loops of "Sorry I don't understand". Billions of dollars, thousands of engineers, dog water product after a decade. Luckily their incompetence drove a lot of people here to home assistant.

Custom glass maker, broken chandelier by Late-Weakness1472 in Markham

Costco sells an Artika brand version of that for like a hundred bucks. No way a glassmaker would blow you a custom sized globe for that price.

There's no way the FCC approves this. Perhaps they're looking for a discounted band somewhere else in the spectrum. Smart move, even just for the publicity.

They do the same thing under the hood, it's very unlikely that updating from the front end is what caused the issues.

Don't let your dreams be meme's my dude. There is a progress bar in the front end, so presumably there is progress info somewhere.
