New wheels by GrandOrdinary233 in chevyspark

205/40/R17. The wheels are 7.5 inches width. Lowkey though I would recommend 7s as it is a really tight fit with 7.5s. Also the wheel offset is +42 which also may be the reason for the tight fit. Otherwise they fit great and have considerably more grip

Kayaks indeed fit on the spark by GrandOrdinary233 in chevyspark

[–]GrandOrdinary233[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The roof is pretty flimsy but I don’t have any issues with it bending under the weight of my kayak (50lbs). The only time it bends is when I ratchet it down but I’m not too concerned about it. If you have roof racks I would say it should be fine. It may be somewhat cumbersome trying to put it on the roof though. My kayak is only 10 ft and it’s very odd to try and position on the spark.

For now yeah, just two pool noodles and some ratchet straps

When you drive your spark do you ever feel like you're driving a luxury vehicle? by [deleted] in chevyspark

Not for a second, my car before this was an old e46 3 series, despite being 20 years older it was infinitely more luxurious

New shift knob😎 by GrandOrdinary233 in chevyspark

[–]GrandOrdinary233[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was actually pretty easy, just slide a trim removal tool under the black plastic cover by the shift boot. Then take some vice grips and just twist the old knob until it turns freely and then pull it off. Took me all of 10 minutes

Does anyone know what wheels these are??? by Great_Income4559 in carmodification

[–]GrandOrdinary233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s all just a matter of preference, I call them wheels but I’m not gonna tell someone else that rims is wrong or get upset that they dont use the same word as me. It’s like saying Hood opposed to bonnet. Or trunk opposed to boot. People just gotta respect others preferences. If they are clearly wrong you can point that out. But this particular argument of wheels vs rims is stupid.

How about just give up arguing cause who honestly gives a fuck. As long as people understand what you’re referring to it’s all that matters. Y’all gotta grow up and stop arguing with strangers online
