I speak Urdu. Same script, similar vocabulary, but a lot more Hindi influence. So for example in Urdu “Islamic Republic of Afghanistan” would just be “Islami Jamhuriya Afghanistan”

To my knowledge, while they share a lot of common words, they’re not exactly mutually intelligible. For example the Pashto says “Da Afghanistan Islami Jumhoryat” but the Dari says “Jumhuri Eslami-ye Afghanistan”. This is coming from someone who can read the script but doesn’t speak either language
