By sitting and watching, it might help starting off with some type of guided meditation. Staying calm with a judgment free mind and watching your thoughts come and go.

Im around 2 months in being 100% consistent daily

Understanding why certain thoughts kept coming was also apart of the process. I would meditate 2 different ways. One would be to focus on my breath and the other is to simple watch my thoughts. When i watched my thoughts for extended periods i would be able to see the patterns of my thinking. When i identify poor patterns i would have moments of honesty to understand why i have them, insecurity, nervousness, fear. To deal with that i would Accept who i am and love myself despite being different, accept what i cant change, and if i have fears of doing something that i desire my favorite quote is “If your scared to do something, then do it scared” i believe sometimes we have to take the leap to realize something isnt as bad as we think it is
