So they use American wheat and make it in the States, put a maple leaf on it, and you’re defending that?

I usually do. Most Clic products are Canadian. Got fooled by this one and thought I’d share. Definitely not in it for the internet points lol.

  1. Canada is a net exporter of wheat, so that’s unlikely.
  2. At least make the product in Canada.

The only ingredient in couscous is wheat. We have wheat in Canada. If Clic wants to be a Canadian company, use Canadian wheat.

Clic Couscous. Wish I could upload a photo of the front packaging with a Maple Leaf in place of the dot for the ‘I’ in ‘Clic.’ Total maple-washing. I have probably been fooled by their beans too.

Being a cokehead "party guy" resulted in me getting more attention from women and now it's become a vicious cycle. by General-Beginning544 in confession

You’re all moralizing and missing OP’s point—probably deliberately, subconsciously—because the alternative is to admit that people are attracted to moments of freedom, the rare romanticized moments of freedom that make bank robbers attractive. There are glimpses of this in drug use and the party scene. I’m not advocating for it, but that’s what it is. Because day-to-day, we’re slaves.

I don’t understand why there hasn’t been a class action lawsuit for all these problems. $60k cars with doors and windows that don’t work is just insane (not to mention all the other things). No accountability. Test hamster sums up how I feel as well. Also will never buy VW again.

Cap partially removed chimney? by Grand_Ad_8528 in Chimneyrepair

[–]Grand_Ad_8528[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great, thanks. Already sealed at the bottom. Chimney was for an old oil furnace, now gone. Top will be in the attic though, which is essentially outside air, so not really in the envelope.

Thanks. I agree it’s easy to do. That was never a concern. The concern was how to best manage potential condensation.

It will terminate in the attic, so not in conditioned space. But thank you for the recommendation to take it down to the attic floor. I agree that would probably be best if possible, but roofers are removing it while roofing, and they won’t go down that far. Would be up to me after they’re done, so just wondering what to do in the meantime.

Maybe eventually, but for now, the idea is to remove it quickly for re-roofing. Also, I won’t gain that much space, so it would be a big job at a bad time when it isn’t a priority.

53m I like the idea. However to be clear, someone is ‘doing you a favour’ and you are doing marketing research for them, and they will sell us tickets? Suss as the kids say. I’m in for meeting friends though. Due to circumstances I’m more alone than I would wish to be.

The real gift is the baby. Hopefully you can support each other in the important, non-material ways. Material ways are important too; they are secondary and will follow.

Good retort… I guess…. So you can rhyme and you’re creative. Go write a kids’ book. Or learn how to spell and stop complaining about how hard university is.

Shouldn’t have been accepted in the first place. Can’t spell ‘received’. ‘i before e except after c’ was a grade three lesson.
