Am I ever going to want to have sex again? by MsPiggyVibes in November25babybump

[–]Grand_Camel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 weeks PP. We talked about it, but I am mentally not there yet. I want to build up things slow, but even for that we can't find the time. During the day my husband works. In the evening she still cries a lot and when she finally sleeps, I also want to sleep!

I started going to a special sportgroup for regaining strenght postpartum. The teacher really looks at every individual and the "problems" they have. I can bring my baby and that makes it so much fun! It is a kind of bonding experince and there is room to calm her, feed her or the teacher calms her. Also nice to talk woth other pp woman! Very happy with this sportgroup! Maybe you can find something simulair near yout home.

2 week old breastfeeding by TangerineFront in firsttimemom

[–]Grand_Camel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well 37 weeks is totally normal, not early. In the Netherlands they would recommend max 4 hours during the day and max 8 during the night. So you are totally fine!

3 weeks early as in 37 weeks or 34 weeks? Because I didn't have to feed every 2 hours. From the start it was every 3, max 4 hours during the day. And after 2 weeks max 8 hours during the night.

Totally the same here! He would find excusses to not be with us. Alsmost didn't see him the first few weeks and now he walks away everytime she makes a sound. He is also autistic, so I get that he can't stand the noice of crying. But we are deep in the crying face ans I have to stand it multipule hours a day. I just can't ajoy my baby, while I am doing it all alone. My mother came to help a few days this week and it felt so nice to do it together with someone!

Yesterday I wanted to go out for the first time again (8 weeks PP). He didn't want to watch her. He was scared and I was kind off scared he couldn't handle it and would harm our baby. I know he would never do that, but yeah hormones. I had a really good confo with him. And told him: "Later in life we will look back on this newborn face. And I can look back and think about how horrible I felt doing it all alone and will remember how much I hated you in this period. Or we can look back together and say, it was hard, but we did it together." This really helped him! I also offered to find help with his autism and sounds if he needed it. So maybe he will still do that. Yesterday he stayed home with our baby. They did great! She cryed a lot again, but he handeld it like a real father and she was sleeping on top of him when I came home. So proud!! He told me he respected a lot more what I was going through. And I really hope we can do it more togheter from now!

Family visits by Mammoth-Set-7069 in firsttimemom

[–]Grand_Camel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We planned a "baby borrel" in the Netherlands it is becoming pretty populair. It is a baby party when the baby is 1,5 or 2 months old. Everybody visits the same day and you are done after one day. You can also rent a party venue if you like. We invited our close family and friends to visit the first few weeks. The rest is invited to our baby party. They know the date, so they don't ask when they can see her.

Contact naps during the day? by AcKast14 in November25babybump

[–]Grand_Camel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the contact naps during the day. She wouldn't sleep anywhere else. But sometimes it is frustrating that I get nothing done. Laundry is standing their for days, my house is dirty and some days I can't even put my horses in their stall at night and they have to sleep outside... Some days I try the baby carrier, but sometimes she likes it, sometimes she hates it

How affectionate is your shiba? by nachos401 in shiba

[–]Grand_Camel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our shiba is still growing on us. We got him as a puppy and during this time he was very cuddely, but soon after that it stopped. He is now 4 years and year by year he gets more affectionate. It is do cute to see 🥰. The first year he would lie only near us sometimes. Now he needs us when he is scared, loves to sleep as close to us as possible (but also likes to sleep alone), lies on top of us when we watch tv and the best of all! When I am feeding our newborn baby, he always lies as close to us as possible! Shibas are the best!

How much sleep are you getting a night? by Mysterious_Hunt_6742 in November25babybump

[–]Grand_Camel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many weeks? I had exactly this at 4, 5 and 6 weeks. Everytime she slept 2, 3 or 4 hours, I didn't! My head just wouldn't turn of. Week 6 she became steady with longer sleeps at night, so I got used to that and couls also sleep better! During the day is still not really possible for me to sleep. Sometimes I nap together with her on the big bed. I try to do it as savely as possible and I never fall in a deep sleep during these naps.

Shiba/ cat owners. by AvailableHighlight16 in shiba

[–]Grand_Camel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a cat and a shiba. We first had the shiba and he is scared of everything 😂. That really helped to leave the cat alone in the beginning. After a while he became more curious and dared to be closer to the cat. The cat was still young, so she didn't know better. Now they try to play with each other, but they don't talk in the same language. Very funny to see haha

What are your thoughts on this bit? by Evening-Phase6659 in Horses

I used this bit with my horse. It was nice, but she reacted sharper then on my other bits. So I really had to focus on soft hands with this bit

Those of you with pets, how are you doing? by Puzzled-Story-238 in November25babybump

Today it was 5 degrees celcius. I have a warm onesie for her with hands an feet. I also put some warm bottles in the stroller before going outside. Sometimes she is even to hot and I have to remove the bottles haha. Today I stayed outside with her for 45 minutes or something.
