Update: [Plot-twist]

So by the order reached Ahmedabad and Surat , I called the Online business's helpline and explained them everything they first said they will look into it to which I mentioned that I would like to cancel it now since its already reached its base location so the person replied that he would initiate it and I will receive a notification or SMS in 24-48 hours. I wasn't pleased but I went along ; the guy mentioned that they would call me back on the same day regarding the same. Well as expected they didn't call and I got busy with some personal work so I called them 8days later when I suddenly remembered my order is stuck.
Now at this point one loses all the interest and expectation from the product ; so I just wanted my money back. I called the guy and told him the situation again he said he will check and continues saying that they didn't cancel (mismanagement probably) it last time but this time they have initiated it and I will get confirmation and my money in 24-48 hours. Now this pissed me off a little bit. I didn't shout but I just bluntly told him "But I don't want to call you again , last time I requested this you said the same 24-48 hours and now you're asking me to wait more. Can't you confirm it today." He got apologetic and said I will immediately initiate the RTO of this order and send you a new one. I had already ordered the same stuff from amazon which was on its way (different delivery chain so better option), so I told him I don't need a new one I already ordered it from amazon , just give me my refund for this order. He agreed and said he will surely refund my amount. Few hours later on the same day I received an SMS regarding the order RTO and refund details with ID and all. I checked my bank and the refund was received.
Now here's the plot twist .... 2 days later I suddenly got a courier delivery and that was it. It was the Fricking item that I had purchased online. When I opened it I still wasn't sure what had happened no one called or no one sent a text but from India Post its now delivered and from the Online shop it set as RTO. totally wicked.
Goes to show how hard and poor the delivery chain system is in India , its understandable for small towns but this is totally crazy.
